  2. they sell both the 410 or 12 bore at £540, but on the 12, for the extra barrel it goes to the £650, I love my little 410 hushpower pedretti, its a great tool for dispatching live caught foxes, use subs in it,our gardens over this way are quite large, and dispatching a live caught fox, a neighbour hanging out her washing two fences away never heard a thing,

  6. depends what you want it for, with areas with a noise problem, they are the mutts nutts, but if you in a field in the middle of nowhere, a normal shotgun would be better, found a shop that stocks the hushpower carts, but a bit pricey at £6.20 for a box (25) the other carts I quoted at start of post, velocity express are ok on the clay days, slightly more of a bang, but the velocity competition are way too noisey, so ended up using them in a mates over and under Im still a lover of the hushpower though, alot of places now are looking at noise issues, so a mossberg pump is to be my next

  10. think you'll get mixed answers here, same as ferreting, from a pest control point of view, I'll ferret or shoot all year, but those doing either for sport, may say leave it in the summer
  11. I take it you dont then? Y.I.S Leeview no, I dont take the locator off the collar, just pass it back on itself, enough to remove batteries, that way you dont loose anything

  17. I was contacted a few weeks back by a member from pidgeon watch asking about ferreting, funnily enough around the same time I had a lady e mail me asking for her field to be ferreted, hers was the first permission I ever had, so I like to help her out and visit a couple of times a year at least, she's been asking for months if I would ferret a roadside boundary hedge that by her mouth, teaming with rabbits, I did put up a request for help on this patch a few months back, but did'nt get any takers, so thought Id take the new mates along, pete and his son george arrived at mine, myself and daugh
  18. just saw your answer, too late for yesterday, we had a nice day out but only caught 5, ferreted around 7 warrens that the land owner had quoted seeing hundreds come from, don't they always say that, Im just across the water in grays, about 5 minutes from the bridge, if anything comes up in the next couple of weeks I'll let you know, if you can get here, you can always jump in one of our motors for the full trip
  19. Id say it's a moulted out silver, have a couple of pats breeding that go the same
  20. just type in chicken drinker, you'll get loads come up
  21. do ya drive, got ya own motor? may have some spare places essex way
  22. the fenceline goes onto "the italian farmers land" where I have permission to shoot, more likely he set it somewhere and forgot about it, we stored some live catch traps at his place around 3yrs ago, and I only noticed the other week, that a couple had found their way into his store room
  23. had to go and do a survey on a 6 mile length of railway track in essex today, had sold them on the idea of fitting rabbit drop boxes in certain areas, as we were walking along the fenceline, looked down and spotted a nearly new mk6 fenn trap, obviuosly poachers, but not set, not in a tunnel system and not pegged down either, finders keepers
  24. for some reason, "ted" would'ent drink out of a water bottle, using bowls meant cleaning every day, as they filled up with woodshavings, this chicken water dispenser does the job, provides fresh water, and dos'ent get filled up, only took him a couple of days to figure out how to press the valve to releash water although I could try him on the sloe vodka, its yummy
