  1. Id have to say take them, its a payment of sorts, rather than him looking at it as though he's doing you a favour letting you ferret, it's plain to see he's looking on it as helping him with his rabbit problem, at the very least you could remark as he's giving you the chicken, that the ferts will get the rabbits, but you and family are having "chicken tonight" Im sure as a farm selling produce, he'd soon say if it was "fowl" if he knew you were gonna eat it
  2. thats really weird, my eldest son has two ferts called that too, they are also screen name for himself and his missus on online gaming
  3. heres mine although since that was taken, its been painted green with a large external aviary on side
  4. always hated springers and the recoil, then was given a tx200 from the managers at work for our pidgeon popping nights, after zero'ing it in, think its the dog danglies for pest control would'ent wanna take it on an all day rabbit bashing trip, cos they are weighty, but for pidgeons, great
  5. hi ya and welcome, where bouts in hertfordshire are you, our office is in boreham wood, and quite a few of our tech's live round that way,
  6. get yaself a chest freezer, whatever the ferts catch goes in there for 24hrs, reckon that'll kill any internal nasties, the rabbit flea can only live on , yup rabbits, ok it can hop onto another, but it cant survive unless on the host species, ticks are the things to worry about, as already stated,
  7. tell me bout it, took the pup for her 2nd injection, saw it was the same vet that looked at the mark on back of hob ferrets neck, she said it was a skin infection, charged me £35, later found out from the forum here, that it was where the young hobs get randy and mount each other, so thought i'd tell her, might be helpful to her if seeing other ferrets, goes in, only for her to say the pups limping and what am i feeding her on, told her the limp was cos she's got lanky legs and ive had to hold her in arms for 20 mins in waiting room, cos if you put down on floor, you get told not too

guy says to his mate I thought i saw your name written on a loaf of bread in tesco's then realised it said THICK CUT
  11. you'd long net it, rather than purse nets
  12. spot the spelling mistake there then
  13. I'd always ask sellers on e bay about the amount of bagging, most only sell nets with 50% bagging rather than 100% a 100yd net should have 200yds so I presume you have a 100yd net, with an extra 50yd instead of 100
  14. have you got your insurances sorted, public liability etc, cos if ya aint, Id get it sorted quick
  15. railway embankments are a nightmare due to the law on this if you want to carry out a program on the site in question then you have to complete several coarses first gets you on the site second you need a look out third you require a a ticket to operate costs several thousant pounds per line advice leave it alone until shit hits the fan and law changes joe am sorry, but your wrong, if you were working on the rails, or anywhere inside the cable run, then yes you would need an entry permit as a mimimum, followed by track awareness, you'd then need either traffic hours or engineeri
  16. technically you dont need any passes as long as you stay on the area of land before the cable run(3ft high running length of track) as this is classed as a physical barrier, you probably would however need a SPC (site person in charge) (me) but would prob need insurance too, depends who the track is owned by, tubelines, metronet, network rail etc, if its metronet, they aint got a pot to pi$$ in at mo, although all of these have to have a pest control firm on their books by law, so you may go to all the trouble of reporting it, for a firm to come in and do it instead the firm i work for already
  17. quote;same way anyone gets them stuck, first didn't come out and I kept firing! think the problem is a lot of people dont pull the cocking arm back enough for it to click, they then push forward, loading one pellet in barrel, pull trigger and nothing, so they pull the cocking arm again, without removing the mag and turning the mag back to the empty slot, thus pushing a second pellet up the barrel, so could understand two, but three two guys in work, both jam up the barrels of the works AAs410, and Ive tried explaining to them where they are going wrong, but rather than listen and take
  18. whats this with cocking the rifle? had my AAS410 nearly 2 yrs, never cock it before filling from bottle, or are you thinking if using a hand pump?, but a pump wont close valves from empty
  19. well, thats telling us alot about yourself
  20. was speaking to a guy in sussex, he reckons the mk2 collar can be picked up by a mk3 reciever, but not a mk1, which is weird cos magwitch's mk1 will pick up my mk3 collars, just a slower knocking noises than when picking up his mk1's
  21. wood chips in cage and run, get a big bale/pkt for mine from the stables, £6-00 or less, last ages
  22. top seller that guy, got my mk3 from him £127 inc postage, then got another 2 collars, recieved within 2 days
  23. another good day magwitch the ferts enjoyed themselves and was good to test out the mk3 more, each time its used I get more confident of it also good to try those poles out on the 25yd'er, enjoy the ease of longnetting, although it's great when 2 bunnies hit the purse net's at same time, and its all hands on deck looking forward to next weekend, I'll pm you the postcode so you can google earth the paddock, lots of hedges by the look of it, deffo longnet time heres a couple I took, ali enjoyed it, even as it was her birthday and she was itching to get home to pressies you forgot to men
  24. already have a bottle(given to me by a rep) that went straight home, rather than in my van (pest control)
