seeing that avitar, reminded me of a good joke guy walks past the pub, an see's a sign saying pie's 50p wank's £1 so walks in, and see's the barmaid like the one in your avitar say's to her, are you the one that gives the wank's she smile's cheekly and say's yes so the guy say's....... well go wash ya f*****g hands, I wanna pie
  2. dunno if it would be any use as snare wire, but the bonding wire we use at work for holding the pidgeon netting in place, is stainless steel, seems rolls are always finding there way into my shed wouldent wanna post as too heavy, but use brass ferrels and crimpers too
  3. what you have to realise, is your asking a landowner to let you, walk over his land, with an air rifle, shooting things, he has to trust, that you 1, are going to respect his land, not take everyone and their uncle with you, shut gates, not trampel feilds, not shoot livestock etc etc 2, only shoot pest species therefore you have alot to prove to him, even before he say's yes 1st get yourself insured for public liability, look on this forum for insurers 2nd, maybe BISLEY safe use of airguns certificate 3rd maybe a place to get rid of unwanted carcases, ie, you may want to keep shot rab
  4. yeah, just watched it, and its crap, yup id adjusted the settings to there lowest, thinking that would be best....D'OH but it was also shot in the dark, Ill do another at weekend in daylight after adjusting, and see if any better, oh and yup, its the 5 m pixel jobby
  5. so Ive got this new phone, which is supposed to be better than the new ipod phone, well its nearly gone out the window a few times, too many buttons and gizmo's, but tried a short video of the ferts on it, just to test it out, so see what you think
  6. out of interest.... & if your post is genuine tell me the prices you are willing to pay for dead animals.. pigeon ? rabbit ? fox ? badger ? deer ? rats ? squirrels ? & lets just say someone had some roadkill or dead quarry, is it worth them driving all the way to meet you or visa versa ? youll probably do more in juice driving to where ever you are. personally i think youre on a wind up. richie cat ? dog ? goldfish ? hamster ? ferral pidgeon ? can get ya bags of them stinkers
  7. the correct advice would be, no, dont let him out each day to hunt himself, this was a one off, and your lucky he came back, you say yourself you would'ent wanna be without him, so kinda answers the question, as a keeper of any animal, its your obligation to feed them, i know with ferts, we use them to feed us (rabbits) but keep him SAFELY locked up in future
  8. had a mk3 collar come off twice on my first outing with the mk3, you'll be suprised how tight they can go, without strangling the fert, my smallest jill will take the collar at 2nd to last hole, I now know, what ferts take the collar to a certain tightness, the idea of punching extra holes in is the best idea, simply put, if a collar comes off, then your not putting it on tight enough, try at home in the hutch/court etc, if they slipping the collar, remember what hole you went to, and go next down, remember they have/are getting there winter coats and therefore look thicker necked than they

  11. myxi is carried by the rabbit flea, it does not affect other animals, therefore if myxi is in your area, it can still be used to feed your animals on

  17. I'd always heard the mk2 was just the proto type for mk3,
  18. was looking at some old post's last week, and saw one about mounting 2 pheasant feather's in the beak of a pheasant, it showed a picture and explanation etc, but for the life of me, I cant find it now anyone point me in the right direction cheers
  19. yeah, magwitch has a point, he normally finds my ferts before me, using the mk1 box to detect my mk3 collars are you saying my desending bleeps are more annoying than Inan pat
  20. lots of people prefer mk1, others mk3, i myself had mk1 and sold it and got a mk3, which is the best in my eye's, others will say different. i think they are both good at finding ferrets, they way i look at it, is the mk3 is the newest, therefore any problems/lost broken bits etc, you can get onto deben and get it sorted, the mk1 however has been and gone, you'll only ever get second hand, some bits can be bought from deben still, and i belive they still service them, but if they were so great, why do we now have a mk3,
  21. christ.... how tall are you, from your shadow, lol
  22. phone deben direct, they charge £5.00 for 2
  23. good ole e bay, £35 and up, cheapest I found
