  5. I read this topic when it was first posted, and did'nt leave a reply as I thought the same as most on here have, very suss, as a new poster you would have been better wording it differently, rather than saying, you'll pay someone to shoot deer, yet are too skint to buy from a butcher, dont ring right there considering that you havent even taken the time to fill ANYTHING in on you profile, say's enough to me
  6. just wondering about the rules on obtaining a FAC, have gathered that you normally need permission/written consent from land owner to shoot on their land, but am wondering if there are other reasons that would still give you reason to apply, without such consent reason being, I work for a pest control firm, have my BPCA but as a night worker, the only shooting jobs i attend are air rifle only, in the future i would like to start my own buisness, and be able to advertise the removal of foxes, but presuming i would then need a FAC rated rifle to be able to do this properly therefore could i ob

  8. get yaself some malt paste for ferrets (good pet shop) feed her a little daily as a treat, straight from the tube, ferts go nuts for it, after couple days put it on your finger, and offer finger, she will soon get to like you picking her up....
  9. yep it's more research i think, well it was a long shot but you never know. i sopoes they could be nasty if they wanted .i have been told by [tom, dick n harry] there visous and the people they know who have been bit. any animal will bite mate, depends how you look after it, if you had a dog, that you chucked food too, never handled or played with, never respected, then Im sure one day it would bite you, the same goes for anything, even us humans, any work animal or pet, will only give, what you put into it, treat it with respect and kindess and you'll reap the rewards from it,

  15. good pictures richie, I personally would'ent bother with the trap, the collars are more than enough, looks like mk3 collars, so will detect to 15ft and a hedgerow like that, much easier to longnet, saves the ferts dislodging the purse nets, as per your pic's
  16. have replied to this in the running dog section, where it was first posted
  17. firstly mate, totally wrong section to post in, this is dogs, you want the ferret section, secondly, if you aint kept ferrets before, you'll want more than just "tips" so my tip would be go get a good book covering all aspects of keeping ferrets etc not many people are gonna wanna part with a fert at this time of year, plus you want a well handled one, so maybe a rescue centre? if not and you have no joy, Id say spend till next year reading up on them, getting hutches built/bought etc, then get a youngster next year, that you can handle daily SO WHATS HAPPENING HERE???? when I wrote t
