  1. thought the quickset would have been the advantage at night
  2. right, its going up on here, as Ive had quite a few pm's on this, but seems everyone Ive pm'd back says yup looks good, but aint got the money, so putting it here for a week before it gets put on e bay I bought this from rew (forum member) last year for around £130 came with loads of batteries, which Ive since used up, Im asking £110 inc postage which I dont think is bad can be posted after the strike, that would give the cheque time to clear if you wanna pay that way, or cash of course if your close enough to collect paypal ok too, but would need to say £115 to allow for the 4%
  3. where did he get that hat
  4. blackhawk.... stop text talking and use PROPER ENGLISH LIKE
  5. what do you mean yet mine all live together in one big court, ok I waited untill the 2 jills that had, had kitts were outta heat, before introducing the hob (dad) back into the court, but then he'd been castrated, none of the jills (mums & daughters) came into heat, so felt it was ok leaving the other hobs(sons) and one outcross I picked up for next year in with them, all the hobs have been mounting each other, yet none of the jills are marked, so fingers crossed no late pregnancys, I have however picked up a block of 3 cages, which will be used to hold the hobs, once summer is here agai
  6. quote; Are the playing with each other trust a woman to bring SEX into it.....
  7. keep them clean, hutches cleaned daily, well fed and watered, occassional treats, egg and milk now and again, handle them all every day, thats bout it
  8. yet again another good day was had on magwitch's permission, this time we netted the boundary warrens, theres one lucky rabbit out there somewhere, flew outta the hole into the net(25yd) as I ran for him he got out ran my way, see me coming turned back into the net, and again managed to free himself and jump over before making off down the hill seven in total, so not bad, will keep the stinkers fed for a few days, also good to test out the mk3, brilliant bit of kit, but did feel like captain kirk from the enterprise with a fazer, and the bloody noise it makes, although I used the pin poi
  9. or just turn the pin point knob on the underside and use it with only the LED's
  10. lets not get into a debate on times, but even 20 mins is short, ive waited longer for a bus, if no rabbits bolt or are heard then maybe locate it after 30 mins, but i still wouldent dig for at least 45 minutes
  11. got a piccy? thought 10 oz was for bigger game than rabbits? or am i wrong
  12. hi mate, just saw one of ya posts, what part essex you from oh and welcome to the site
  13. ive taken a youngster and older jill out couple weeks back, have 2 collars but thoughtout the day, both jills slipped their collars and still came back out without the need to dig, i wouldent recomend ferreting without collars, but have done it myself on a couple of occassions, both jills down and putting a big hob without collar down to bolt the rabbits
  14. i presume you poked it in the eye, to see if it still blinked, meaning it would still be alive, you really need to read books/watch dvd's or ask someone local to you, to show you how to kill a rabbit properly, as the rabbit probably suffered some, but then we all have to start somewhere, so take todays experience as a learning curve, its more enjoyable knowing you've given it 100% rather than its only a rabbit attitude
  15. SEEMS WELL STEEP TO ME, theres petes airgun farm, adverts in the air gunner etc located in essex, he charges £20 for your first visit, as its still a working farm, but he'll take you around show you the set up etc, any other visits are a tenner, has large indoor target range, also an outside range with lots of knock down targets etc, plus miles of land to walk, allowing the shooting of live quarry, drinks and food also there at very resonable prices you must have insurance, but then i guess that outshooting would want you to have that too, so pete can do it for £10 outshooting wants £35..
  16. yup, they can, they can also catch a cold from you.....
  17. QUOTE;I'm now pretty desperate for a couple of Ferrets now the birds going.... so what your saying is, the missus is leaving ya, and you wanna get a couple of bitches in
  18. received my new mk3 today, already have a 15ft mk1 with 2 collars, but have to admit to not getting on great with it, although others have used it in my presence and worked it fine, so decided to get a mk3, which after a quick test, i much prefer, as you get the visual LED lights too, its the newer type with the pin point control, which acts simular to the squelch on a cb radio i get paid monthly so had made my mind up to buy one at the end of august, and was gonna get it from decoying section on here, as they quote £135 with members discount, but as above say's i wanted it cheaper, so yup d
  19. I always cut the heads off when skinning etc, wrap each rabbit in a plastic bag before putting in the chest freezer (in shed) the heads then get put in the basket in top of freezer, the jack russel loves them, and then anytime Im getting a bit low on whole rabbits(my 9 get through 1 a day) I can add 1 or 2 to their evening feed
  20. yup, thats exactly what I picked up off e bay, a bundle of electric rabbit fencing, inc poles 27" full length, with a 6" steel tip, so the net will be set at around 21" some may say thats a little low, but at £16 for 26 poles, it'll do to get me started and so easy to push into hard ground FOR SALE; 1 roll electric rabbit fencing, minus poles
  21. I will agree the wyman book is brilliant, have even put up a post myself saying just that, but cookie was asking about net repair, and the book I recomended goe's into much more detail on that subject
  22. if you gonna get it snipped, why has it GOT TO BE white???? surely you'll have more luck just asking for a "free hob"
