    help

Id gut it when you caught it, leaving the guts in can taint the meat
  4. most of our squirrel jobs are with kania's, but on the odd occassion when we use a live trap, we never do anything on/in the customers property, simple take it inside the back of the van, step inside, close doors and use the pistol, Ive never been a lover of the sack and whack way, as there is no way, you can tell what part of the squirrel your whacking, thus its, whack, is it moving, whack it again, in my eyes, a pellet does the job there and then, humanely
  5. have you got any air bricks/air vents behind the units, just did a customers kitchen, and thats where they were getting in
  6. now how wierd is this, we just stood in the back garden, watching a load of flying insects, flying around our chimney, seemed to be flying in, the length of our garden, anyway, one dropped into the kids paddling pool, dont know if the pictures picked it up to well, but more of a golden yellow colour, not looked it up yet, as I was suppose to leave for work a few minutes ago...
  7. thats a bit like asking, how long is this piece of string
  8. well, if you ever need him, Ive got one snipped hob, thats definatly firing blanks, your always welcome to drop a jill over here for a few days
  9. fraid insects arnt my foytay, but get a picture up
  10. presume you go at night, through not having permission,
  11. there's no gurantee joe, but sometimes, yes, I have a cage with three castrated hobs in, and a one year old jill, you can quite clearly see that they have had her by the scruff, and can remember a few other members saying they had castrated hobs that did the job, having them castrated would mean you can keep them together all year round, without fear of fighting, although saying that, I have two brothers that live together no probs, think its down to the individual ferret
  12. or jump on the scooters, 5 minutes up the road and watch it live
  13. god that's soft, getting wifey to come get, your tell us next he can only go "on his own toilet" always carry half a roll of toilet paper on any countryside/hunting related trips, then find a bush
  14. looks good, Id eat it, after all, even if she'd spat in it, Ive had most of my missus bodily fluids at some point in time
  15. of course, got a chest freezer in me shed, can get around 55 full size rabbits in there
  16. a rimfire, thats as much as I know about it, if magwitch was about, Im sure he'd give you all the tech jargon
  17. no disrespect meant here, but as a new keeper to ferrets (as your other posts) Id not worry about breeding just yet, learn to walk before running
  18. magwitch kindly offered me a nights lamping, firstly as the farmer had asked for the rabbits to thinned down, and secondly to fill my freezer up not a bad night, ended with 46 in total, mostly 3/4 grown and a few doe's the ferrets said a big thank you too
  19. same as what he said, happy birthday
  20. no disrespect here mate, but you need to be able to identify quarry, before trying to catch/trap it
  21. look at the top of the ferret section, theres a whole section on it
  22. a jill having a phantom, will look pregnant, holding her up, she'll look like a lightbulb shape, have a few here look just like that, its probably more likely, the age, my younger jills just came into season once, the older jills are on their second go now
  23. very playgroundish name calling, but at least I only use one forum name, rather than a couple to hide behind
