    I cannot see anyone giving permission on the phone, you could be anyone, as stated, knock and ask face to face, dont be dressed in cammo, have your insurance/public liability with you, show your not some fly by night, I'd go around tea time, more chance of them being in, what are you wanting to shoot?, shotgun or rimfire, have often found its easier to get permission to shoot pidgeons first, then once your in there, easier to gain rabbit permission

    hiding food is a trait with ferts, especialy when you have a few house together, as long as your not feeding too much, they should still eat what they have "hidden" in the same night, if your finding stored food in the corners, then your feeding too much....

    have never heard of a mole being flushed out, but yes, Im referring to the use of engine gasses as being illegal on moles, dont ask me why, but seems its ok for rats, but not moles, again, have seen rats bolt from smoke, never heard of a mole bolting, thus theres no way to say your using engine gas to bolt them, rather than kill them

    fair do's to you for admitting to not knowing, alot on here would have simply ignored it, but for you any everyone, always remember RESPECTING YOUR QUARRY COMES FIRST, knowing the law, and correct methods of humane disposal, be it shooting,ferreting,trapping,gassing etc should be everyones first priority on the chosen pest, if anyone ever got put before a judge, using the excuse "I did'nt know", is not good enough and will not get you off the hook

    you only have two main choices, new or second hand, and both the mk1 or mk3 hold there money, you'd probably get either for around the £100 if you look hard enough, but remember, the mk3 is still in production, the mk1 aint,

    I honestly cant see your point, if you dont like a vet, simple dont go there again, as for their prices, surely thats their call, but your post just dont make sense, first moan at their prices, then e mail them they are shit surely if the were shit vets, they wouldent still be in buisness, and if they are still in buisness, then others are happy with them it takes longer to become a vet than a doctor, so should'ent they get a decent wage, I suppose it depends on how much a person, cares for their animal if you/I took an animal to a vets, and they didnt know what it was/treatment et

    quite a few have commented on the gutting style in the past, when numbers of rabbits are being done, its a very quick and efficent way, and as looks dont worry the ferts, it gets my thumbs up stand on front paws, pull chest fur tight, nick with knife, insert finger into hole and pull downwards, sorted, everything is then ready to drop out, if you have large numbers to gut, two of you can go like the clappers, one doing the cut and pull, the other doing the fling and stomach...

    magwitch kindly asked me to a few hours out shooting, we hit the orchards just after 7pm, a little earlier than normal, but he had some overtime at work for sat morning, so could'ent be too late, the first orchard has had half the tree's removed and some sort of rape planted, its weird but both tonight and the last time we shot this area, upon driving in, about 40 rabbits made a dash from the tree's (where their warrens are) and into the rape field, next time Im definatly going to take a 100yd longnet and try get those one's on their way back. anyway, got a total of 20, all goes in the freeze

    holding a SGC for urban fox control, does not mean they have to be dispatched in an urban enviroment, they could be driven anywhere, it was more the "having to rely on others" also, and I dont know if Im correct or not, something I will ask FAO when they come around, Im sure using a shotgun in an urban area would be illegal, but using a silenced 410 single short for a legitamate humane dispatch in someones garden, is that still in the same class, Im sure if you could prove the reason, then would a "blind eye, be turned" plus the fact, Im not joe bloggs, but a fully quailified pestie

    yes mate, have used it to catch a couple, but then have to rely on others to come and despatch it, but as Im getting more "private paid work" I thought it was about time I handled it myself, plus alot easier

    have enquired about a shotgun cert from chelmsford police reguarding it being used to dispatch live caught foxes, they reckon a 410 would be just what I need, either double or single barrel, the last time I saw a 410 was around 30yrs ago, as a kid we had a little folding poachers single barrel, have they changed much since then, or does anyone have a better idea?, picture would be good if poss, also, if I get the SGC, can I have more than one gun, or do I need to stipulate what Im having on the ticket many thanks
