  1. try a vet/pdsa if your worried, these "whats wrong" posts can go on for days, and still not give a definate answer
  2. the simple way forward, is to only ever pay for stuff via paypal, that way if anything goes wrong, you can open a dispute up with them and get your money back, but then your get members moaning that they dont have paypal, and revert to sending cheques/postal orders and we go down this posts road yet again....

  5. I had thought that when we first went up there, as I approached the edge and peered over, theres another floor level just under it, still would'ent want to take a tumble though, while we were there, a call went out, so we got to see the helicopter take off, but within minutes, it came over the radio, that it was'ent as bad an accident as first thought, and the helicopter was returning, so have video of both take-off and landing
  6. well, my missus (wasp, on the forum) does motorbike leather repairs, mostly for "the london bikers" anyhow a couple of weeks back, she voluntered to repair the london air ambulance crew's flight suits, medical bags etc, free of charge, as "the london bikers" do a lot of fund raising, for them and the essex air amblance, she then recieved an invite to the helipad on top of london hospital, a full tour of the place, it was well interesting, heres a short video I took on my mobile, as it pans around to the right, you can see the new blue london hospital, although the inside is not finished yet, b

    EBAY

has the item got a reserved listed on it?, if not the seller may have forgotten to add it, and once a bid has been entered, they cant change the listing, Id personnally report it to e bay, as if it dosent reach what they want, there are ways the seller can get out of selling it,
  11. christ mate, have seen a few running around wild like, but never that close,
  12. if I have a cold/flu, I carry on the daily feeding, but dont handle untill all symptoms have passed
  13. about a year ago I had a call asking if I took in rescue ferrets, at first said NO, but after hearing the circumstances, agreed to take an albino jill and cage, she was bought round that afternoon, with the cage pictured, that she was rescued in, she had been kept in an outhouse, the bottom of the cage was so full of shite you couldent see the white plastic, she had been "chucked" dead day old chicks, and god knows how long she had lived like that, she was imeadiatly taken on by our 11yr old daughter as "her pet" she's handled plenty of my ferts as she comes ferreting with me, HANDLING IS
  14. have they been castrated?, as castrated hob's (hoblets) can be left all year round with the jills, I have one hoblet with six jills in the court, another court has three hoblets, and one jill, all get on fine, but my vasectamised (snipped) hob, still needs to be kept seperate, as do all the intact hobs (all in individual cages)
  15. if my missus can do it, anyone can, but Im on your side concerning the sack way
  16. the only drawback here matt, is that not everybody here is a full time pest controller, some members trap etc for the sport, or as favours to gain permissions, they may well think a situation through in their head, but they certainly wont have risk ass' sheets will they, and surely as long as they are carrying out the "cull" in a humaine way, that can only be good, to the point they are bothering to ask, rather than saying/thinking, "well Ive got this old spud gun, takes a few shots, but gets there in the end"

    My Jill's

all you can do, is try one and see, no two ferts will ever act the same, so us saying yes, may be a no no in your case, or visa versa, try one keeping a careful watch,
  18. same here, used both hay and straw, never had a problem with either
  19. they should do/have, back in victorian times, huge flocks of budgerigars were let out to "free fly" they would let them breed in aviarys, then once chicks were in the nest, open the doors up, knowing they would return to feed the babies
  20. try looking on here Joe http://www.pestcontrolportal.com/
  21. I once hand reared 23 baby budgies, ranging from 4 day olds to 10 days, had a fire in my bird shed and most of the adults died from smoke, I was dead set these youngsters would survive, luckerly I worked for my dad at the time, so took 2 weeks off work, feeding every 3 hours around the clock, used an old seed propagator as an incubator/warmth cage, and used a mixture of canay rearing food and farleys rusks, running it through a coffee grinder first in the dry form, then mixing to a double cream consistancy, grinding it fine stops the syringe blocking up, and is better for the budgies, its hard
  22. stoat or a rat well, there's the advice from a true proffessional
