  1. My little bitch is beddy whippet grey, only 18" keen and game enough but just lacks a little zip, she is small for the x. Best beddy x i have seen on bolted rabbits is a 20 1/2" very light boned, 3/4 whippet 1//4 beddy, its a mates dog, its lethal, opened my eyes alright.
  2. Thats a clever dog, making a good one. ATB
  3. I was looking for 2 Jill kits and my Mrs messages a lady on Facebook selling kits. She said "private message for price and details " my Mrs asked how much and the lady said they were free . She only advertises that they cost so she only gets people who actually want them as opposed to just "having them because their free" Not saying all people are like that but some are Not a bad idea, keep the scum bags at bay.
  4. I gift kits, can't be doing with folk asking silly money. A good ferret is worth its weight in gold but i still wouldn't sell kits. I have had to buy the odd kit though, it seems to be a different kettle when its my turn for the free one lol.
  5. Had a look out again tonight, fished until dark. River just dropping back after a spate, great fly water. Had one sea trout about 2lb which i returned. Had chance of another 2 sea trout, never hooked them and caught and returned 2 brown trout. I love being out with the fly rod, great sport.
  6. Seen plenty of whippets with ears like that, I would say its as near a whippet as you will get, strong chest but seen them like that before. Size wise its about the size of a big dog whippet. Similar lugs, Mike Brown stuff
  7. A lot of whippets from that line about
  8. I don't get this slating whippets, the right one are great little working dogs, I don't have one but have seen plenty both non ped and ped. If i was wanting one for working i would go for a ped working type, only thing wrong with whippets is the price of many of them. they are a bit of a cash cow. I only work rabbits by the way.
  9. I believe the great rivers of Sea trout rivers of Argentina were stocked from English brown trout. A guy imported brown trout a long time ago as he was missing his brown trout fishing, these fish then went to sea to start the legendery sea trout run off. A mate of mine goes over there, one night he had fish of 14 18 and 20lb, he says 5lb fish are small over there, bloody amazing. Can anyone back this up, just what i was told anyway, ATB.
  10. Had a couple of hours tonight, never touched anything but my mate had a cracking sea trout 5 1/4 lb it went back, lovely fish.
  11. Had a look out after work for a couple of hours. Had 3 brown trout and 2 nice sea trout on a bait i made myself. I like to make gear, i get a lot more satisfaction when i make my own stuff.
  12. Could you empty your inbox please mate. Some space now pal
  13. Why don't you put a good working rough dog over your beddy grey, if you are happy with her, maybe a rough type worker with beardie or deerhound, weaton or something in it.
  14. What do you lad's reckon of the above scope as a hunting scope for a hw100 and also would it be any good with a night vision add on. I could alter it but do you need parallax adjustment for night vision. Thank you.
  15. Each to their own but i personally leave them alone for a couple of weeks, plenty time to handle them after that and you won't be stressing the gill out. like i say just my personal opinion.
  16. Thanks mate, that was my next question lol. How much are they mate, easy to change ?
  17. been looking to see what is about, not seen any .20 ones. I like light guns, i think my hw100 is a bit front heavy, for me anyway.
  18. What do you lads reckon of the Falcon light hunter please.
  19. If you think 3mm is not heavy enough glue and tack up then glue and tack another thickness over that, personally i have never had a problem with 3mm.
  20. Go to a electrical cable supplier, see if they have a used cable drum, the 3mm ply in the middle is what i use.It is already formed to shape, never had a problem with it.
  21. Took the gun into a field to set scopes up, just got them done when a woody dropped in the tree behind me. Nailed it no bother, ferrets enjoyed it.
