  1. They are clearly harrassing a ligitimate activity and the police should step in now,I have been told that the people instramental in the getting of the go ahead for the cull, have been told by the antis that there career is over, what on earth are we doing as a nation allowing these mindless thugs dictate to us,its all crap, people who can not think for themselves following burnt out pop stars, this country has gone belly up I am sure
  2. lovely looking pup you will have your hands full with her,by the way the ridgeback is going to need a snorkle for by xmas if this rain keeps up,
  3. I was once invited to canada years ago with someone we know,I regret not going and might try and go in the future, the extraction of something like that must be exhausting, but I bet it puts the heart rate up to the top, when you are watching one walk towards you like that
  4. Bloody hell, you would want a fare wall to hang their heads on,be a long time before the freezer was empty thats a fact, wonder what caliber they was using???????
  5. Try jbs nets too they are good do a search for his website, allso look at bridport nets not sure if they do quicksets but worth trying, failing that make one with sheet netting there's good instructions on here to follow,
  6. never found cartridge choice or availability a problem for most disiplines(i only live a short drive from both the express and eley factories). anything outside of that i swop over to an old remmington 1100 semi in 12g. You are a lucky man living so close to your source of shells,I really struggle some times ,not much choice, small gun shops who just keep in what they think they can easilly get rid off,And BASC shafting us over the lead shot ban for wildfowl made things really difficult and expensive
  7. I used my side by side 410 in the hide for crows around the back of the buildings and it did me proud nothing wrong with them,I have swapped and changed guns on and off for years, the one gun I will never get rid of is my 410,I only wish I could get shot sizes of 4 or 5's in them you used to be able to years ago,and always fancied trying a 410 slug for some reason, dont know why but I bet they are very handy on close foxes,as for the price of cartridges, how much is the smile on your daughters face worth, first class training gun,
  8. You dont have the choice of cartridges in the 20,as in availability,BB's/ steel shot and such for different things,12 bore alot more versatile and cheaper to feed,I personally have two 20 bore's, one side by side and one semi-auto, and I do love them, but I have just ordered a 12 bore semi-auto with two set's of barrels as I am finding myself under more and more geese,or chasing foxes, where I need shot varients that are not commonly held in most of my local shops, for 20 bore's and its a shame as its a real drawback with the 20 gauge, other than that for general game they are spot on,
  9. You need to be sure she can lift and swing the gun proper mate, and she has the presence of mind to be constantly aware of the gun when not in use, but with my boy I took the time with the clays to concentrate and make him understand,he loved it instantly,he was around 9 yr old but a slow grower, you wouldnt think that now though, with 410 there's very little, recoil anyway but 2 1/2 inch is what I used for the son, then went onto 3 inch but dont think I needed to,the beuty of the 410 is they come in all shapes and sizes, someone will have one the right stock size for your daughter, good luck with i
  10. Spot on mate, well done cracking effort, nice looking dogs,
  11. Problem with it is, it is constant in some towns, and you can't be there all the time,so alot of the time the dog is exposed to the sounds in an uncontrolled manner, I know dogs that will not bat an eye at fire works, and others are off for the hills they are a nuisance and thats all they are,and some of the people useing them have no respect for others,
  12. Its a shit when that happens, and the bloody insurance people have pushed the vet bills up beyond belief,I have had two this year myself for the dogs and one for the horse, bloody expensive time, when the animals need vets, hope things turn out ok mate, bottle of whiskey and a quiet evening might just be in order, good luck
  13. Spot on mate sounds like a good morning, and that little ferret did well,
  14. Stick to breeders you know,be wary of the guy who wants the fortune, for unless he is a champion dog trainer breeding from a champion dog,you really dont know what you are getting, you are better with a pup, remember no expert dog man sells a good dog, he keeps that one for himself, because there is champions in the blood line does not automatically mean you are getting a good dog, where as with a local dog you can see for yourself what the dog is like, ask other peoples opinion dont buy if they are obitual breeders, where as a good local guy will breed, to keep a pup for himself in other words he
  15. If you have a load that does the job stick to it mate, worth trying to get as close to the original as posssible, why not give the norma ago as stando say's there will be a fare difference between 58 gr and 90 gr,its ok him giving you 90 gr hes just trying to keep your business, good luck
  16. thats me in a turmoil then ive got and do both, even at the same time, sometimes Me too regularly,
  17. Handy websites them, some good gear might try them myself,
  18. Type in aftermarket parts Honda quad in search engine, I am about to recon starter for my Honda big red, found bush kits on eBay but been told to take it to a local fella, who will recon it spoke to him down phone he said shouldn't be any issues if you want I will let you know how I get on, but it won't be for two or three weeks yet
  19. Red hyperchloride [dairy disinfectant] from farm suppliers £10 25 litrs spot on washes the concrete kills all smells and nuteralises itself, water board use it for cleaning pipes I am told, dont know how true that bit is mind,
  20. It would solve alot of issues over here, the do gooders have tried to give all the rights, to the crims its gone beyond it,and this case was a good thing for people,in the end of the day the police had done there job, these lads all had previous convictions, but the law itself had failled to protect us from there actions, if they had served the 5 to 15 yrs for there convictions they would not be there to be shot in the first place,
  21. I was after something to attract and act as a masking scent,I have a couple of bits of ground against woods and the wind is very unpredictable to say the least,I like to sit out on an evening with the rifle,I think I have got some coming off woodga now so with any look,
  22. If after there third offence they had served one full sentence, which as a crimianl offence is 5 yrs plus, chances are they wouldnt have been there to be shot,
