    I agree there's loads of cloned traps on the market in one way or another look how many variations of mole claw trap there are,that might be a bad example, it will however have something to do with the effect on the animal, as regards welfare or being humane if I can find who to email specifically, I will ask the question as I dont want to spend £100 on a collarum, when the principle is easy to replicate and will cause no more stress than a collarum,

    I have had mine a couple of weeks now and I am still mastering it,saying that, I have had a few with it and I am getting better I think at the moment its in part somethng to do with the time of year,another month and they will start pairing up,I think thats when it will come into its own mate,

    I know what you mean about mad,thing is the collarum uses a spring under tension to place the snare around the target animals neck, then relies on the snare anchor to do its bit in holding the animal,and in some sense's thats what I was wanting to experiment with,the whip or spring would break away,and not maintain any tension I have looked through the wildlife and countryside act,it does say what spring trap you can use for what speicies,ie mk 4 mk 6 and such but as yet I havnt found the relevant info on spring snares,I supose technically what I am talking about isnt a spring snare,it would b

    Can anyone actually tell me what the law is on the use of spring snare'sin the uk, as in illegal or not, or legal for certain speacies or not,The reason why I ask is not to set them,as such but I want to adapt one to set the snare,like a collarum with a hole and bait stick,once triggered I was going to make the spring break away,so the animal was caught and held in a free running snare,very much like a collarum,The benefits are clear as regards catching only target species,if the spring breaks away that should ensure,the animal is not unduly stressed or cruelly held,I myself have tried to find

    I use on a teckel,or my pointer I say that I have never really had to use them,the pointer as done two proper follow ups on deer,shot by other people,who if they had been more confident with a little bit more experience,would have found them anyway,the teckel has done mock blood scents,both are very capable dogs,the teckle is very slow and methodicle on blood,and a swine to get off the carcase,but very very good,the gsp is like shit off a shovel straight there,I think if it was an old scent I would use the teckel,as she wont cut any corners with the wind,you can clearly see her following the s
