    I like them redfield I had one for 15 yr and it was spot on mate,it sat on 243, 270,and 6.5x55 and like a prat I sold it,paulus is right give them a look,

    I think that is asking for gun club mate,if you are filling it in for use on land put a line through it, as they would use that info to contact the club to varify your membership, in order to prove reason to own a FAC,dont complicate things keep things as honest and straight as you can,and you should be fine, make sure you put all the land on that you intend to shoot that class of firearm on,if you are a member of a club then all the better,declare that as well,remember your first cert will probably have a close condition on it,you can only use your firearm on the land under the conditions it

    It has to be an indictable offense/ an offence at common law. Guess what? Breach of the Peace is an indictable offence, one that was taken very seriously a few years ago.... Make sure you have plenty of witnesses for corroboration, you can use reasonable, proportionate and justifiable force, and you must phone the police as soon as is practically possible. Tell them you are DETAINING them (not arresting as legally it's a whole new ball park), what for, inform them the police are on the way, and only use restraints if you're qualified.     I never knew,that DSC was now a minimum requirement,since when did the law change,as far as I am aware you have to prove good reason to have one,the police are there to uphold the law not there personal opinions,

    I believe 160 grn is the biggest in any of my reloading manuals,I am told 270 or above for boar but the ballistics are very similar between the two ,was advised on here a while back to use 308 on them, the chap seemed to know what he was talking about but I recon the 6.5x55 would do one

    They say the 260 is superb but I have no expeirence of it, I have tried various calibers but I keep going back to 6.5x55 it must just suit me I once loaded 85 grain hollow points for that,a murderous little round for fox,but I now stick to my 223 52 grain hollow points for them,each to his own

    End of 2010 into 2011 I took on a pond local to me, around a two weeks into the close season,I saw birds dailly getting off the pond,however throught the summer of 2011 the pond choked up with grass,and weed,this I think totally ruined 2011 season with little or no birds coming to the pond dispite feeding twice a week every week,any way I set about sorting the problem this year the pond was majorly over grown around the banks So I decided to cear a 2 meter piece all around the banks as my thoughts were that any bird sat on there would be vulnerable from the bank, allso while the pond

    Give him time, get him useing his nose,bits of smoked sausage around the garden, make sure he is using his nose,and not stumbling onto them dont worry about him holding close that will change as his confidence grows,get him down a quiet road, quarter him from curb to curb make sure he gets right to the curb before turning,it will become automated after a while,the fact that he is close in means he is controlable,alot of keepers would die to see a spaniel work close and reliable, in some ways its what you want its far easier to get a spaniel going, than to stop one,hes looking to you for comman

    Worse one I ever saw was shot with a 22-250, mind meat damage can be caused by any round, I use a 6.5x55 nice round never had too much damage with the 140 grains I did try 120 grains and it was terrible with them,I shot 243 for 15 yr and loved the round, 85 grain was the round of my choice for roe, and 75 grain hollow point on foxes,I currently use a 223 on foxes,and like the round I know of people who use them in scotland on deer,with no problems, This whole question of caliber is complex and I am convinced its down to personal preference alone,its an arguement that will rage on for ever,

    If it was anything major it would be wrong at 100 as well check the barrel float, and make sure everythings tight, then I would look at the ammo I really dont like clamping guns,you must get used to it, you cant stop and clamp it each time you see a fox, good luck Darren

    It really gets my blood up,it lines the roads and motorways both sides its thick with the stuff,even if the farmers pull it,its not long before it re seeds from plants on the road side,I was told 10,000 seeds per plant poisnous all time but only palatable when dead,very few animals are not affected,we all ought to campain the councils to sort it
