Permission slip wouldnt have helped you out here buddy. You either have permission or you dont. If you are being accused of coursing a hare, rightly or wrongly, no amount of permission slips will help you out!

You can only kill em once. Seriously though when you have a job to do, and its not sport, then it has to be done. -
I dont, and have never carried any form of written permission with me, when carrying out pest control on any of my permissions. That includes shotgun, rifle, trapping and ferreting. I have also, never had a time when I wish I had been carrying a permission slip. I will probably get slagged for this, but I am a firm believer that how you dress and behave when out with your guns, will either draw attention to yourself or not, and may result in a phone call to the cops or not. In the community I live, most people will phone the landowner if they have concerns, and not the cops. I

Sorry mate dont have one for sale, but with 2 lads myself I can recommend the 28 over the .410, and I have both. The 28 gives much more versatility, and can be used for most things. What my lads find annoying is that since buying a 28, it has become my favorite shotty, and I use it more than my 12 or 20!

Start with 9, then 11, 13, 15. Stay with 15 until you have done 18 in total, then back down, 13, 11, 9. 21 rows in total, 42 ish inches long, depending on mesh size.

Hi vis for permission, drab for anything else! I always start with 9, go out to 15, an 21 meshes long normally, although I do other lengths as well.

I agree with above but it is nothing to do with acreage. It has far more to do with terrain, backstop, public access and surrounding land and houses. Your feo will advise accordingly. Good luck, its a fantastic fixing round.

Kittlerox. I have always felt this way with lamping foxes. I do it because it is an effective method of fox control, but the buzz I get is setting up an ambush or spying a fox a long way off and stalking or whistling it up. I personally don't feel that I am using as much skill when using a lamp, unless of course I am doing it on a very dark, windy night, totally on foot. As I said at the beginning though it is effective, and that is what I have to be. For that reason I can't stop lamping, but then again, I don't do it for the sport. Good post.

I use an android app called "Moon Phase Pro". It is an brilliant app with a live wallpaper, which constantly shows the current phase of the moon, as well as loads of other things it can tell you. Very useful for best fishing times, spring tides, lamping, longnetting etc And also for me, it tells me when to expect my sleepless nights of the month!! -
My old fella used to wear a pair of fell boots made by Hoggs of Fife, and designed for shepherds. Completley studded, on a sprung last and I think made from horse leather. Cracking boot, probably dont make them any more, but its worth a look on the net.

Don't want to teach you to suck eggs, but put the traps where the mice will feel safe and not disturbed. That way the traps will work for you all day. i.e. under cover, behind cupboards, and near their runs etc.

Scotlands my home......;-) and englands mine!!! i cant wait to be back home for x-mas have you moved to Sweden permanently then or you doing a year and then making up your mind? tbh i dont know yet mate, its good here and theres plenty of work but im abit fecked off at the min with no dogs, proper mates etc we will see what happens in the new year Yea... but what about those Swedish birds. We've not seen pictures of them yet!!

Yes I think the wolf at one point was resting under the bison's chin as it knew it was safe from its horns. It was interesting to see the wolf getting the odd breather and having to eat snow, to relieve its thirst. I too was lead to believe from the footage and commentary that the wolf curled up to rest in the snow, because the injured bison was fatally wounded, and the wolf was just that knackered it was all it could do, knowing it had survived, and its prey would soon be dead. The easy answer would be to say turkish walnut, but the honest answer is I havn't a clue. You have got me massively interested in having a go myself though, over winter. Thanks for the idea.
