    Watched an interesting documentary on her the other day...she wasn't afraid to stand by her opinions and suffered massively because of it...a lot to be admired even if her views don't align with yours imo

    Being a little younger than you, I got into the stones music after they had produced all their best music... must've been exciting to hear it first time as there was nothing else like it, I suppose in more recent years only rap/hip hop or perhaps dance music could be comparable as most music is reworked on the classic rock/blues/pop parameters.. As said i like the 70s stuff by the stones, beast of Burden, Tumbling Dice, Angie, Wild Horses, Brown Sugar etc... but Sympathy for the Devil and Gimme Shelter are massive songs and must've beeb so far removed from anything else in the late 60s?

    This blows me away... no effects, no loop pedals..pure talent... to play the rhythm, lead, bass notes and sing like that is different class...

    Yeah I think most mentioned aren't Divas.. I think Mariah Carey, Whitney, Beyonce etc when saying Diva.. but Celine Dion and Barbara Streisand could perhaps be classed as Divas, definitely brilliant singers!

    You probably know this, but she wrote that late one night, stayed up all night playing it as didn't want to sleep and forget it...raced to the studio in the morning to record it... some talent on that band, everyone of them could write, sing, play... not many times does that come together.. regret not watching them a couple of years back when they reformed, with Neil Finn (Crowded House) doing the Lindley Buckingham part (they were done with him!) LOL.. .. never again as you can't replace Chrissy McVie

    Old Keith can still do it mate! They may look like your great grandads on stage now, but they are still the biggest rock/blues band in the world and when they write stuff like this no ones gonna catch them! Lol

    PP Arnold .. she has a beautiful voice, her version of first cut is the deepest is streets ahead of Rod Stewart for me.. She sang a few songs with Ocean Coloyr Scene, mid 90s, I saw her singing with them and supporting them back then, faultless

    Exactly.... it sounds like the 70s stones, which is my favourite era from them... Gaga makes it though for me...fair play to Mick though, what eighty odd and singing like he did at 30!

    I wonder what Amy Whinehouse would've of achieved if she'd of lived, only 27 when she died and still considered one of the best... unique voice and talent for sure

    Yeah "Diva" is a funny one, female singer with a belting voice...or a complete pain in the ass...or both? Lol

    She was another level, effortless! Of the modern "Divas" Gaga takes some beating, she is a proper musician with a great voice.

    At any one time there were 4 top level strikers at the club mate... now we have Martial and Hoijund, and that's it! We have to rely on Bruno and Rashford for the majority of goals (hopefully the new lad kicks on) but where is the real competition for the striker role? Gone are the York, cole, Sheringham solskjaer Tevez, Rooney, van persie, Ronaldo, Van nisteroy, berbatov even Chicarito.. Its toothless mate... needed a real marque striker signing for a few years now...

    That was a golden era for Dutch football though mate, not the same now is it! Hes having a rough time at the minute, but I hope they stick with him and see it through, the chop and change over the last 8 years has been shit, need to put a plan in and stick with it... fergie took 5 years to get the club straight and develop.the team he wanted....but it was in a worst state when he took the job than anyone since him!
