Fury could've done without that last night, regardless of the result he was embarrassed by a bloke who was in his first ever pro boxing match... he may well have sparred a thousand times and fought in MMA but this was his first ever boxing match.... Read Hitman because of this post, brilliant.. picked up 3 books since and struggled getting through them as it was so good....

That's the biggest thing for you, missing a real quality player like that for a long spell and nothing you can do about it, I think Eddie Howes transfers and management has been near on perfect since he got there, no huge Marquee signing, just very good professionals who all add to the team...he'll feel let down by this no doubt

I have the same rows with one of my best mates, we played together for years, he was a good player and knows his stuff, managed a bit as well...but hates Southgate and his style...I can't see it tbh but thats opinion and football lads love a row over opinions lol... A couple of penalties going the right way anf we could be European and World champions...small margins at the very top level!

I'd also say, he allows both full backs to join attacks as he has that protection in midfield, Walker and Trippier are both very attack minded full backs, or Shaw when he's fit...maybe what looks defence minded is quite a balanced way to attack?

Don't you think that's to protect what is quite a weak centre back pairing? If you look at the attacking players he uses, he always plays 4, this time Kane, Rashford, Bellingham and Foden, with 2 holding midfielders.. Rice and Phillips.. who would you lose? Would you leave out Phillips for say a fit Saka, or Maddison and play Bellingham as a no 8 type midfielder? I thought he was fantastic in that no 10 role the other night, maybe shoe Horning all of our best attacking players in one side will destabilise the team?

Heres one...if Southgate doesn't win a trophy will he be seen as a failure? Robson and Venables from recent'ish years are seen as successes to many, they were close, but still only a semi final... Southgate reached the final, a semi, qualified out of the hardest group on paper this time... but... he has hell of a squad of players, this lot really can win something??
