There's only one vid on this thread ( I think), which looks like a lab catching a squatter?? And then the rabbit at the feet of someone in pretty wellies lol?? I'm not saying you should have to prove anything, but that video has no bearing on the arguments.... Does it??..... This thread has confused me ...

Take the gills out of them. Turn them over open up the gill cavity and scrape the dead mans fingers out. It's the bacteria in the gills that make them go bad. As a bye the cock crabs will be starting to moult any time now. Time to get your traps down in the estuaries. Edited to add: If you freeze them mounted on a hook then individually wrap them in clingfilm, they can be used when still frozen and will thaw out in the water. Keep them in a food flask till needed when you go out. TC Spot on advice mate I worked in the angling centre not long after leaving school, used to ke

My friends daughter is gay, she " married " her girlfriend a couple of years back and we were invited to the evening do... I've known the girl since she was a little kid, now there were obviously a lot of they're gay friends there, make and female, some were the real showy gay type, mincing around and acting up which I think is embarrassing personally.... But both my friends daughter and her wife are lovely people, her dad could not love her anymore... He's older than me, 50 odd and a very talented musician, he wrote the song for they're first dance and played and sang it, and it was very poig

Hell I ran in the World Veteran Cross Country Champs when I was 45 , nice to see another runner on here Nice one mate, great dedication... A good mate of mine who works with me is in Spain this week competing in the European athletic masters, he's just one Exeters sports personality of the year because he came third in last years, which was in Iceland... He competes every weekend and trains most days I think he's 43 now, it was his birthday last Friday... Very dedicated man..Edited to say his son was nominated for junior sports personality, he throws the javelin for Exeter Harriers... Ki

Cheers jjm Rm2508 One away match, we had the local paper there taking photos all the rest of it, he took a team pic before the game and went along asking our names for the pic to be printed, every one of us gave a false name..... One of my mates came out with chevlenko milosivic, the bloke says can you spell it for me and without a breath it came out perfectly, where the hell that came from I'll never know.... He's called Simon lol.... The pic was printed with all our names false underneath... One of the lads used to work for a brewery, some of our away games in the western league wer

Ran out of likes mate, sounds a top lad.... Good luck to him

I'm sorry to make this about you, but my thoughts are with you and yours mate.... The decisions your making now are incomparable to the average "hard" decisions... All your decision are based on your love for your wife and kids in time you'll realise that they were right, for that reason alone..... I sincerely wish you and your lads all the best mate

Haha nice one lads, all the old tricks... One of my mates dads trained us up until under 15's and he would tell us "when your jumping get your elbows out early", " strikers always back onto the defender make sure you step on their toes" etc, a lot of us lads have played together right up to recently and a group of us were in men's football from under 15's, we'd play Western League on Saturday and U17's on the Sunday.... I remember my first away trip on the coach we were playing a side in Bristol ( about 75 miles from here), it was good standard , the drink was out on the way back and at 15, 3

Cheers lads, I know exactly what my touch will be like lol... I play in midfield and a lot of my game was because I was fit, I trained or played pretty much everyday as a youngster, boxing, 5 a side, football training and sat and sun games, it's funny how long your natural fitness stays with you.. .. But time catches up and you just can't sustain the fitness.... I'm playing for the 2nds on Sat Wilf, it's the club I finished up with and it's one of the nicest places I've played, real good lads and a nice little club house where anything goes lol... It'll be a good craic if nothing else....

Haha thats bad mate....... 22..... Fk Iloved being 22
-
Haha your right mate I should, I've played on injuries over the years which doesn't help, played half decent men's football since I was 15, plus it's lack of fitness now... It's time to get training again.. The worst thing though is you just aren't as quick/good and it's frustrating when you can't react...

It's my ankles mate, had to play with them both strapped and pain killers couple of seasons back... When I was mid 20's I was playing decent enough standard, paid amateur, a bloke played a few games if we were short he was 48 and was absolute quality.... There's a bloke I've played with over the years he's over 50 now, still plays and has had both his knees done, another really good player though....... My favourite though was last year, I was playing an evening vets game and the opposition brought a player on he was 72, he lasted 10 mins made a couple of runs and was knackerd, fair play to t

I've no doubt I'll enjoy it on Saturday.. It's next week I'll pay... The worst thing is your brain says you can do it but your body just can't lol..
-
Got a call from my old football manager last night " do you fancy a game Saturday "... I didn't think twice.... So I'll be walking like I've shit myself Monday, Tuesday and probably Wednesday next week lol.. Apart from a couple of vets games I've not played for a couple of seasons, can't wait to be honest... I'm only 36 so I reckon I've got 4 or 5 seasons left lol... Any of you older lads still playing??

I'd say if you've been around the buildings for a while you can get by in your own house... I wouldn't want to go on site and attempt to lay bricks, plaster, tile etc but.... I've built the walls in my garden, laid the floor tiles in the hall and patio tiles.. Will paint and decorate etc last house I fitted the plumbing.. Never again but that's another story lol... Electrics and plumbing I won't touch... Tbh the chippies I know are tight as fck and would never pay for a tiler lol... Now the big problem I see with your Eastern Europeans are, they work like fck for very little money.. On mos

Thats shit mate, sorry to hear that, I hope things are better for you now..... I remember my dad late 80's early 90's struggling for months without a job dropping in, he told us all we would have to sell the house etc to survive, he pulled out of it luckily but it changed him, I think the stress of almost losing the lot was too much.... 3 years ago we got hit for 42k from a big company, mainly for unsigned extra works, i was foolish enough to believe them when they told me it would all be paid and kept going to complete their work ( at the time we were on 2 tescos and had just finished a

Site works harder now than ever, the hoops you've got to jump through to get on site is incredible, thats why I find it amazing that they wll kill a job completely for health and safety... but don't give a shit about the quality of the "tradesman" I've had my business for for over 15 years and learnt from the old boys before that(working for a steel erecting, fabricating plus roofing and clading company) , when me and my brother started on our own we took on mainly roofing and cladding jobs, all sorts from Tescos, waitrose, Mercedes Benz to farm sheds, we have never been out of work because w

The worst thing for me mate, my dads side of the families from Ireland ... So whichever way I play it yesterday I'm on a loser lol..... Now you welsh lads get over your hangovers and try to stop gloating some time this year..... As for you scots I suppose when your sides that poor you've got to shout for anyone..... Lol
