I'm not so sure mate, Fergie doesn't let sentiment get in the way of anything, either way... If he could get him at the right price, he would, because of what he would offer... He's somewhere between the best and 2nd best in the world lol Ronaldo went with Fergies blessing anyway, and still talks of UTD as home.. I think the problem will be money though

Rooney a failed striker??? Van Persie has been incredible this year, and Rooney has played 2nd fiddle, which has not been the case for him since Ronaldo left.... Even as an out an our striker Rooney is everywhere, chasing back, harrying and making a nuisance of himself... Van Persie is an out and out striker, off the shoulder type with fantastic movement and one of the best finishers in the world, Rooney doesn't need to play in that position anymore, he will naturally come deeper.... On Monday he knocked some great balls long, but I thought he gave the ball away a little too often when play

Well that was emphatic... UTD were top class in the first half, and that 2nd goal was as good as any ever IMO....RVP has shown his class They were a machine this year, Giggs there for number 13 what a career... And yet again Fergie puts together another top side.. Love him or loathe him the mans a legend...

In the building trade I'd take experiance every time as well, I'm maybe in a fortunate position in that I know all the gangs I employ ( on the books or subbie) as I've worked with all of them, I know whos good and shit in my area, in my game.... 3 of the subbie gangs I employ started out with me and my brother on the tools until they were ready to go on their own.... Now the dilema would be when employing the unknown gangs, in the past when we've done this it's a lottery... the worst, as in roughest, we ever had on, were very experianced mid 50's and been around for ages, they came up with me

Wilf, I don't think he should be slung out of his club or any thing else, I personally don't care..... But he will be disciplined by the fa probably receive a long ban and it is the premier league after all not a Sunday game down the park... There's a lot more subtle ways to get defenders shook up, as I'm sure you know, I just don't think biting is one of them.... Liverpool won't get rid I don't think, he's too good...

The blokes absolutely top quality, he's got everything you'd want in a striker... But he's just an unlikeable little twat.... Wilf I agree with you in principle, get your elbows out, little digs when the refs backs turned, kicking, pushing etc... But to sink your teeth into someone on a football pitch I'm not so sure, it's not like he's going to get away with that is it, there's a camera in every direction.... How ivanivic didn't didn't whack him I don't know, did you see on match of the day his previous one where he just clamped on to the blokes neck and drew blood haha, fcking nutter...

There are far more working class people than middle and upper class put together,so how has it not been possible to get a goverment that represents the majority?.Its my kids who i despair for,my two lads are in the forces and both have been threatened with redundancy. My two daughters are in university one learning to be a social worker and the other studying to be a school teacher.I know of university graduates that cant get a job and have to work behind a bar,or do telesales,or even both.Thats not their fault they would love to do the job that they went to 6th form for, then 4 years at univers

I understand your point mate i just think you put it badly..........................if i became a billionaire owner of the biggest football club in the world.......i,ll still be a scrappy little cockney out the flats........i think its called not forgetting your roots.I make you right as regards the moaning and whingeing though Probably did put it badly, but its a hard thing to put across to such a broad spectrum of people, and avoid those that just want to score points in front of other members by slagging other members off, I too if I ever became a billionare, would still hang about with

Well said mate, I done that stupid questionnaire thing the other day and it told me I was some type of middle class wtf.... I was born on a council estate, grew up on council estates and a couple of refuges as a kid.. My grandfather and father lived in the same council house ( that my dad still lives in, and Maggie let him buy lol), all my family are self employed inc uncles, dad, brother and grandfather until he died ( literally).... Now my business is doing ok, I don't live on the estate anymore but there's no way I'm middle class, I'm working class, and my kids will be brought up with th

The circle jab was called a daisy prick, I think ,then if it reacted you had your BCG ( for TB) ,I remember everyone shitting thereselves about the BCG jab, it was passed down through all the schools how much it hurt.... couldn't move your arm for weeks etc Like Ruby said if you had it ( luckily I didn't) you'd be punched in the top of your arm for weeks after.. whole swathes of children walking around schools protecting the top of their arm with their other hand There was some nice scarring too....

That has got to be the single best post ive seen on here in a long time...............and certainly the best one on these recent politics debates lately...........Standing ovation to you there sir !.......................... Rely on nobody but yourself and you will have nobody to cry to but yourself = Clean conscience ! Agreed very good post... I'm a firm believer in you get out of life what you put in, you can blame everyone and everything but eventually it's all down to you... I've read all these political threads recently, but as I know very little about politics I'll read and say

I was fishing the town stretch of our river few years back when a lad comes puffing along asking if I'd seen a group of men about, he said they were foreign probably polish... I hadn't but asked why, it turns out him and a few others had set up a protection group for the swans, there is a huge head of swans on the town stretch, they all get fed by the mums and kids etc and gather in big numbers ... It turns out there was nearly half the amount now ( something like 60 from 110 ) compared to 2 years ago.. They were now being monitored and it was all down to poles catching them for food.... These

Very similar mate, I've a great relationship with my Dad now.. But there's a lot of heartache and stories to get here, The same as you with my kids, I kill them with love and I'm not concerned if I kiss, cuddle or tell them I love them too often... They'll never see some of the things I did.. Violence is very dead end though, just takes a while and a wake up call ( or 2) to realise it...

Alan Ball was manager of Exeter for a bit, his lad, Jimmy, played for their u17's... We used to play them in our league, this one game Alan was watching it was 1-1 and my mate scored a screamer not long to go, we went mad run up to Jimmy and gave him a bit ( he was a right little twat on the pitch) my mate ran over to Alan Ball and gave him a bit ( dis respectful I know, but being 16 is the only excuse lol)... Alan started rant in his high pitched squeal how we would be taken to a tribunal ( what??) bunch of louts etc lol.... We ended up losing 3-2... At least I can say I was bollocked by a Wo

Over the years ive often tried to understand the whole downs syndrome thing.............i dont......and im not sure i want to simply because i really enjoy the relationship i have with this lad he just has an energy and honesty about him that i find infectious............every now and then he comes to the footie with us he loves it.......i try to steer clear of confrontation with folk at footie wherever possible.............but the amount of times i have to give other fans a " dont say a word " kind of look .......is something thats still a real shame in society...............you feel so prot

Nice friendly looking ol boy.....thats a cracking picture....aint it always the way that someone has to stick their finger across the lens !!Cheers Gnash! He was friendly to everybody he met, when he passed away there was probably two hundred people or more in and around the chapel at the funeral. He was known all around the county from a lifetime working on the refineries and other industrial sites and from connection with the local rugby club. When we was kids, he used to take us all to mini rugby and pick other lads up on the way. God knows how many of us used to pile into the little Metro
