Yeah Gracelands is somewhere I'd like to see, and I'd enjoy some of the blues bars as well...but perhaps I'd be happier out of memphis listening to blues somewhere traditional... just hoping we stumble on the things we are picturing in our heads lol... to be honest most times we ho away we end up finding the things we like, no problem talking to anyone, happy in most situations so it makes being accepted into others company quite easy.. Ah right, that's a good point on clothes mate..thank you.. I need to half plan the route, I don't like working to a schedule/itinerary on holiday, infact I can't think of anything worse..but in this case I at least need to have half an idea of where we're going lol.

Wow, that's very kind thank you for the offer.. Once we drop everyone off at Miami Airport on 27th Dec we are pretty much free to go where we want...quite keen on Nashville for New Years Eve and definitely want to go to the Grand Ole Opry.. Thanks for the heads up on Memphis, it is one of the fears of travelling blind, in that you could stumble into areas you don't want to be.. most of the major city in the UK have areas you avoid, but I know the score here and have been around enough to not overly concern myself ..im not stupid enough to think the US is the same and to be honest we

I feel the same about Dynamo...blokes a freak lol.. I think in the modern scientific world it's easy to disprove many of the teachings of Christianity and religion in general, if that's your agenda.. but... religion is faith driven, it is a belief that only the person who has faith can feel/explain, it's not for us non believers to attempt to disprove someone faith, that is their personal feelings...arguing creation/evolution is one thing and makes for interesting reading but calling out a man on his faith is another imo... there is nothing to gain or prove

Haha.. its been the same since we met, if we're in the UK I drag dogs, rods, lamp etc around...always take a rod abroad, I'll get up first light and fish while she sleeps... then last light while she takes hours to get ready to go out lol.. I've seen you say before about your wife playing darts, didn't realise it was on the international stage... brilliant stuff mate

Thanks Charts, That's the sort of info I need.. We've been to New York, enjoyed a couple of short breaks, but not what we're looking for this time, want more traditional type things, rodeo would be one, love our music hence Nashville, Memphis etc.. I'll have rods with me the whole trip so will grab any chance to cast a line.. I spent 10 days in North Carolina working (hydrogen business), met loads of lads from different states and had an invite to fish/hunt in South Catolina which I've never taken up... I've got to consider the wife on this one as well, it's her 50th trip so I

I'm after any advice please lads... We're planning a trip to America for a bit of tour around.. Plan is... 10 days over Xmas with kids (who are adults lol) brother, sister in law etc... renting a place on the Florida Keys, hiring a self drive boat and mainly fishing for most of it... @green lurchers i know you've spent a fair bit of time out there fishing, Im looking at Marathon to stay, villa with a boat dock, general sea fishing, spinning, live baits etc...
