  1. I did mention you and Cher yesterday mate...lol
  2. So forget Ed Sheeran and all his loop pedals, this for me is the most phenomenal piece of one man pluaing guitar and singing ever... no effects, no loop pedals just absoulye sheer talent, finger picking at that speed and singing in time/tune is amazing... Love Fleetwood Mac and think Lyndsey Buckinham doesn't get enough credit for being an incredible guitarist, singer and song writer
  3. f**k Ozzy and now Hogan, that's a stab in the heart for 12 year old me!
  4. Watched Tbe Hives supporting Artoc monkeys last year, great front man and good energy band... good shout mate
  5. Yeah great song, I read the book about the Hurricane, some nos carriage of justice that one! Also Dylan is a great artist, I was very close to spending a few bob on a one in 50 signed print of the Hurricane painting he done, it shows Ruben Carter in a boxing pose looking through an upstairs window... His other thing is welding, he makes steel gates out of all sorts of scrap bits, proper arty stuff... loved to hang one somewhere...
  6. Yeah an amazing talent, quite possibly the best guitarist, from his rhythm to lead work and absolute unique style, no doubt a freak as he could do the lot, perform, write, sing, play...madness... Dylans not everyone's cuppa tea, but the fact remains he has written more than most, his talent lies in song writing, he isn't the full package like Prince, and never tried to be... as I said for most people they prefer hos songs covered by others, I'm sure his bank balance doesn't mind...lol
  7. Yeah you're right mate, I remember something about that from a documentary on her..
  8. Just her face on the video with tears running down her cheeks! Iconic...brilliant
  9. I like that, nice song.. I'm not a huge Beatles fan, but do like most of the stuff I've heard from John Lennon on his own, need to listen to a bit more of his stuff... I like some Wings stuff as well..
  10. I like his voice mate, different slant on it
  11. I think I've heard that, I'll check it out..she's got a lovely voice
  12. https://youtu.be/kxEcc2AiddQ?si=WfQToRBiVRQINrHz
  13. No Nothing Compares to you.. Hold on
  14. As with a lot of Dylan songs the cover is maybe better... I love Dylan so will happily listen to his versions... But Adele can belt out Let me Feel your love Or Jimi Hendrix doing All along the Watchtower.. Eels do a good version of Girl from the North Country.. I also think Timothee Chalemets version from the film.with the actress who.plays Joan Baez is amazing...he's some talent that lad
  15. She does a good song with Shane MacGowan ...its called Haunted, if you haven't heard it worth a listen
  16. Quite right ... cleaner leftva window open abd he fell from some height, terrible thing stuff of nightmares... I remember Clapton performing that on an MTV unplugged, goose bump moment, f**k it's sad
  17. Listen to Chris Cornell version...lead singer of Sound Garden, great voice
  18. Yeah music takes you to places, good and bad ..I love music for that.
  19. Knocking on Heavens door is Dylan mate
  20. Not the same as an expansive back catalogue mate.. And.. imo the best cover of Nothing Compares to you is by Chris Cornell...its stunning
  21. You talked about Catalogue mate... not time spent in a studio... Dylan released an album.last year, the blokes odd... for what it's worth it thought the album.was shit, but still sat and watched the legend perform it! Lol
  22. I gave in, I had to Google...f**k me everyone had either had a song written for them or covers Dylan! 600 covers of his songs have been released.. George Harrison, the Grateful Dead, Jimi Hendrix covered 5 of his songs!, Elvis, The Clash, Jeff Buckley... When you talk of back catalogues and impact on artists, yeah Dylan is up there!!
  23. OK off the top of my head people who have covered Dylan songs... Rolling Stones Guns and Roses Adele Jimi Hendrix Johnny Cash Cher (for that alone Stiffy should love him! Lol) Dolly Parton Joan Baez The Byrds I don't know stats but I'd guess he is up there with the most prolific song writers of all time...
