  4. Funny you should say that, I sent the pics to a member off here on WhatsApp and ge said the exact same thing... Thank.god the windows are back in and secure...lol
  5. Why did I buy an old house ffs! I hate painting now! Lol Bedroom.nearly done En suite Bathroom nearly finished
  6. Remined me of my kids coming down the yard with me, they still talk about it.. I made them.a rope swing one Saturday morning off the front of the tele handler lol... 6 or 7 years old swinging over welding plant and chop saws lol My mate kept all his safety nets in one of the big rooms, his kids and my kids would play in there for hours, making dens etc... When we had the kids Mrs went down to 2 days a week, I was working away a fair bit but my mum would have them on a Friday and I'd have them on a Saturday, they'd come football with me and get spoiled rotten, no amount of baby sitte
  7. Yeah another amazing thread ..Stiff piling in with "go rob the place while they're up the hospital"..lol...classic
  8. It's becoming a more regular conversation with my wife mate, we don't live a bad life, but, the money we have tied up.or liquid could go a mile further elsewhere and the standard of living could be better... I love where I live for many reasons, but its chamging fast...there is an itch and now the kids are adults it makes you think about scratching it a lot more
  9. Wow.... I mean...what the f**k! Mental, I'd bet 90% of the blokes on here had a rough start, we're all pretty much alike imo... but robbing people's houses is one thing, admitting it on a forum is another and advocating it because they were "posh c**ts" cause they had 5 bedrooms and a garden...f**k me that is mental... I saw a lot as a youngster, we had a funny start to life...some pretty rough times and unstable times... but there were still morals and a way to conduct yourself... no way would I have a pissing contest on who's the poorest etc, but robbing houses...f**k no
  10. Liverpool have gone full out this transfer window, they've brought in some quality to be fair.....c**ts! lol
  11. More like Eddie large! lol In fact...Eddie the Eagle lol
  12. This tale often brightens up a day for me if I'm feeling a bit down in the dumps!! sorry mate! lol
  13. You sometimes take for granted how beautiful our countryside is... this mornings walk only 15 mins drive from my house, the view down the valley is stunning...
  14. What were they for out of interest mate? I'm sure industrial food freezers don't go much under minus 20, the one we worked on was being tested at minus 23 and that was below its running temp. minus 40 must be for something pretty specialist?
  15. "Learning something new" Cmon mate this is too easy lol
  16. Anyway I'm out... early finish today being treated to a few beers tonight from a happy customer, joys of knowing what you're doing in you're chosen field lol
  17. I guess you mean irate? and "they're questioned" ? not to be obtuse but careful chucking high IQ chat around when it takes a bit to decipher every post lol
  18. You said something about insulation and building? you wouldn't be insulating inside a working freezer, that would be done surely? They don't turn those things on until they are up and sealed, we've chucked 1000s of meters of fridge panels around the country, but only one job ever inside a working freezer and that was installing stainless steel racking... as my previous post I think it was at -23 and that was horrific! lol
  19. f**k me... seriously... an admission to having zero knowledge on a subject!! should've done that 5 pages back would've saved Charts blood pressure rocketing! lol
  20. Sorry are you saying you've built in minus 40 degree temps in Hull? lol We had to install steel work inside of a working freezer on a lidls distribution plant... it was at minus 23, my brother ran the contract and done a few stints inside the chiller, 20 mins maximum in there... he said it was hell on earth lol... I was pleased of my warm office for those few weeks lol
  21. Not pretentious at all mate, facts I'd rather sit back and listen to people who really know about subjects I have little knowledge on, one I think that's good manners and 2 it saves you looking like a twat...lol.. I know where I'd seek information on the Middle East on this site if I was after it... It wouldn't be from Grass hopper that's for sure lol
  22. Can I presume you're protégé is nearing the end of his education?
  23. It could be worse, you could be a UTD fan mate...
  24. Funny having this yap with my lad earlier.. He's 20 in a couple of weeks, worked for me for just over a year full time, worked in the Co-op whilst he was at college and bits for me in summer holidays etc...he has saved bloody hard, he is into his finances and has money in stocks and shares etc (most of his yap goes over my head lol)... anyway, through all his own work he's got enough for a deposit on a 2 bed house.. we take no rent off him for living home, and he gets hos grub etc...because imo him saving is what it's about, I'll help as much as possible, but they've got to help themselve
  25. I've said for a long while now that all i want from money is to buy more time.. I think i could have all the time in the world, if I cashed in here and moved, we have talked about it a lot... I think where we live in the country we are very lucky in many aspects, but it's changing pretty quickly and I've travelled around with work more than enough to know this bubble will eventually burst.. I dont know where we'd go, it was always Ireland years ago through my family ties etc, but I'm.not sure anymore about that.. Most places in central Europe you'd be living mortgage free on wh
