  1. She does a good song with Shane MacGowan ...its called Haunted, if you haven't heard it worth a listen
  2. Quite right ... cleaner leftva window open abd he fell from some height, terrible thing stuff of nightmares... I remember Clapton performing that on an MTV unplugged, goose bump moment, f**k it's sad
  3. Listen to Chris Cornell version...lead singer of Sound Garden, great voice
  4. Yeah music takes you to places, good and bad ..I love music for that.
  5. Knocking on Heavens door is Dylan mate
  6. Not the same as an expansive back catalogue mate.. And.. imo the best cover of Nothing Compares to you is by Chris Cornell...its stunning
  7. You talked about Catalogue mate... not time spent in a studio... Dylan released an album.last year, the blokes odd... for what it's worth it thought the album.was shit, but still sat and watched the legend perform it! Lol
  8. I gave in, I had to Google...f**k me everyone had either had a song written for them or covers Dylan! 600 covers of his songs have been released.. George Harrison, the Grateful Dead, Jimi Hendrix covered 5 of his songs!, Elvis, The Clash, Jeff Buckley... When you talk of back catalogues and impact on artists, yeah Dylan is up there!!
  9. OK off the top of my head people who have covered Dylan songs... Rolling Stones Guns and Roses Adele Jimi Hendrix Johnny Cash Cher (for that alone Stiffy should love him! Lol) Dolly Parton Joan Baez The Byrds I don't know stats but I'd guess he is up there with the most prolific song writers of all time...
  10. Yeah amazing, without doubt one of the most talented musicians/song writers of all time...but... Dylan is not the musician of Prince, he is a lyricist a poet, who can write a hook... I think Stiffy is alluding to Dylan having an inferior back catalogue which is wrong...Dylan songs are covered more than anyone (probably)...I know Stiffy hates Dylan though...think Noel is a better song writer lol
  11. I love Dylan, saw him and The Boss last year.. my list of musts is now complete
  12. That song reminds me of lamping in my first car a B reg mk3 escort.. had the album playing when we got pulled by the police with lurchers in the back...I'd love to say that somg was playing at the time, how apt..but that was over 30 years ago so I ain't sure lol
  13. Some great bands about today mate.. Catfish and the Bottleman Wunderhorse Nothing but Thieves (what a voice that boy has!) I love all my old music, big 90s fan... Bruce Springsteen would be my desert Island pick as he is alongside Bob Dylam probably the best songwriter/lyricist ever imo... oh and Jarvis, f**k he can wrote a line! Raye is a great modern singer as well, beautiful voice and she comes across as a great girl, very much like a new Amy Whinehouse...
  14. Real proper character, what rock and roll legends should be! RIP OZZY..
  15. Tony Bellew has said for years he mentally fatigues you, Dubois's brain is probably still hurting lol
  16. Yeah thought the undercard was shit mate, but the atmosphere looked good for the main event, and as you say Usyk didn't disappoint... top 5 you say! Technically possibly the best, but I'm not sure on top 5... I'd of love to seen him in either the 70s or 90s eras just to see some of those matcg ups..

They look great Arry, real nice work mate.. Definitely be worth a bid at the comp, I think Mary will love them as she is right into her arts and craft, she makes wicker animals etc...she'll almost definitely bid on those mate
  18. We all know the story mate... point is adversity is there for everyone in life, mental strength is as much a test as physical strength..he's not the first or last to suffer loss, poverty, hardship...but he was not mentally strong enough to make the right decisions and that eventually cost him.. Could he have beat Holyfield or Lewis if he had lived the proper life? Maybe maybe not... the facts are they won and showed his weaknesses...
  19. Bit of class from Parker, fair play to him
  20. Loads of them mate, from Mexico to the Phillipines... Pac man lived on the streets from 14, Hagler was dodging bullets most of his young life, Chavez was poor as a church mouse... its a recurring theme, but it either gives you something or takes something away, unfortunately Tyson reverted to type too many times and showed mental weakness...
  21. All very true and well documented... I think most of the great boxers have had to deal with adversity in their lives, for many it is their escape and path to a better life.. No doubt Tyson was the biggest name on the planet at a very young age, he had everything too soon and no shortage of people to take advantage of him... but when arguing different boxers and who is the greatest etc, Tyson will always always been thrown in the mix and pre buster Douglas Tyson who could argue, but his frailties, mentality etc was put to the test a few times and he came up short.. ultimately his choi
  22. Loved Tyson as a kid, I was 10 when he beat Trevor Berbick for the world title.. remember it like yesterday...but.. he wasn't dedicated to the game, you can make all the excuses in the world and say a 20 year old Tyson would beat anyone, the truth is a still young Tyson lost to better fighters, he was 30 when he lost to.Holyfield, 35 when he lost to Lewis.. early 20s when he lost to Buster Douglas (freak punch, or zero preparation?)... The bottom line is Tyson wasn't mentally strong enough to train properly, live properly, conduct himself properly and he lost to the best he fought as they
