There's a couple ways of doing it mate, using a vented foam filler under the sheet along the eaves line..or making a soffit detail and venting the soffit... I'd seriously consider using cement fibre sheets in lieu of metal though mate... Eternit are the company to look at. I'd use the profile 3 sheet...infact ove put a bit on a barn here and when/if I properly renovated that one, it the way I'd go with the roof
  2. Haha...very similar replies at the same time.. Get out of my head!! Lol
  3. Completely agree mate, Whyte is a big step up, but probably the right one.. whyte won't ever be back in Championship contention, so this is a big pay packet for him it's win win for Whyte regardless of the outcome... I'd say Ituamas camp know that Whyte is a calculated risk, as I said I hope he wins as it would put him up another peg and we need these young lads coming through in the heavies..
  4. I read the other day that Whyte has been knocked out in sparring, I don't think that should be leaked from the gym...but... it looks to be true, you'd be a bit worried considering how heavy handed Ituama looks if his punch resistance is on the wain? I'm looking forward to it as well mate, its the right fight for Ituama at those stage imo, I hope he comes through it in style as I like what I've seen so far and it's a lad you could see going places.

Think I may have said before mate, use a coloured fibre cement sheet on the roof.. fairly cheap, last forever, you can get in slate blue or a dark grey etc, plus they reduce the noise of rain beating on them. I think they look really smart for those type of small rural builds, they don't sweat so a bit more forgiving if you don't get the air flow right... need any help on bits give me a shout mate...
  6. Yeah must be a bugger dragging those mains cables up and down the canals.... only reason I'd never do it lol
  7. That bream looks a decent size mate... nice one
  8. Just seen this Charts, glad he's been found and is on the mend... what a worrying time for his family..
  9. My suspicion is Walshie, ot appeared after the first fishing comp lol
  10. It's just such a shit subject, and I bet we've all been affected by it... Lost a 20 year old lad last year to suicide, worked with us for a couple of years with his Dad who I've worked with for over 20 years ..its completely destroyed his Dad, a great lump of man, great steel worker, tough old f****r, to see him cry everytime he tries to talk to me is devastating... there is nothing you can say to ease the pain, we've tried to help in many ways over the past year, but the upshot is his lad walked into a park with a length of electric cable in a rucksack and hung himself from a tree... wha
  11. Me...that's our job mate! Lol @walshie any chance you can pin this please mate, save us having to bump it up...cheers

    England.

She won't be at 15/16 though mate.. as my previous post i would actively encourage girls to get into any sport, ots good for your body and mind, it's only positive...but... there is a massive push to put the woman's game in the same light as the men's and for most lads that's watched/player football all their life the contrast is stark.. incomparable really.. I watch the Gary Neville podcast, you've got Jill Scott on there, I like her she seems a decent type... but she's conversing on equal terms with Roy Keane, saying about how they both played midfield and his tough the position is etc.

    England.

Got to be honest i just struggle to watch the woman's game, I was pleased England won, I think it's great young girls have good role models and potentially will get into sport/fitness...I've 2 girls, neither have any interest in football at all, if they did I'd support it wholeheartedly... here's my issue, my brother in law who works with me has been watching the whilst tournament, talking about it at work etc...I tried to watch a game the other day and turned it off, it was half paced, technically pretty poor etc..just not for me, I won't pretend to like something just to fit in... I said to
  14. I can vouch for that lol
  15. Sirloin and rump steak, home made chips, runner beans and chimichurri...
  16. I sense you patience with grasshopper is running out mate lol
  17. Suicide, substance abuse, bike crash... that f***ing jab has a lot to answer for!! Lol
  18. Think your a bit older than me mate, I remember Giant Haystacks, Big Daddy etc.. but WWF was massive when I was a kid, by early teens you were out of it, but as a young kid is was the done thing to pick your mate up and supplex him on the pavement lol
  19. STIFFMEISTER off here recommened the Bret the Hitman Hart autobiography to me, it's a really good read, heartbreaking in places.. like you say the schedule and pressure plays a heavy toll on the wrestlers in the end... from about 10 to 14 I'd watch the WWF, we'd all chuck each other around as kids pretending we were Ultimate Warrior or Hulk..etc... probably always knew it was fake shit at heart, but back then it was massive...
  20. Very rare we're on an hourly wage mate... pricing jobs like this one can be a complete twat!

  22. Yeah it's amazing to watch and listen to truly talented people eh mate.. as you know I pissed around in bands for quite a few years and even locally I was in awe of some of the people I played with, I wished I had their natural talent, mine was bravado and hard graft...some people just make it look easy..
  23. 2 years on and off (a lot of on! Lol) 11'000m2, asbestos strip, new steel work rafter supports and all new purlins, 120mm composite roof panels, loads of wall cladding, membrane lined valley gutters.. tons of steel beams for opening units, supports etc, new roller shutters plus steel frames to support... its the job that kept growing.. 4 weeks left I reckon. . Got another one down the road for the same customer, owns loads of units.. and the vehicle repair centre that rents most of this unit has 8 of their own they want us to look at, plus put an extension on another .. I'm ready to retir
