    Alright guys, picked up a bit of permission through a friend who's gone home for Xmas , I told her to have a word with her Uncle who's got afarm near the Bude area of Devon / Cornwall. She reckoned there was nout down there but after speaking to him apparently there's quite a few She said he was keen for me to come down as they're a bit of a nuisance on the farm so happy days Just as I haven't been down yet wondering if anyone is about that way n any ideas what to expect etc. Deffo gotta get down there n have a scout of the land

    How do you find them ? My mates got a 3/4 grey 1/4 collie , doing some good stuff day time mooching dog but he says he does his head in, both head strong and then sensitive when told off, whines alot and generally does his nut. Lol

    Sounds expensive but it's a hard job to study for, many years of education at the very high level. As I'm studying myself atm I know you'd be leaving with 40k+ of debt easy, then it's I'd think on a level similar to a dentist or doctor type job. Take in that plus costs of a location, rent rates and expensive equipment, surgical tools etc etc and staff and it prob not cheap. Can imagine after a few years of work all that be paid off and they'd be fairly well off. But is that any different to a builder or something grafting hard for first few years and then doing well later on ? A

    I'd be taking the coppers names n numbers Police having a go on your on a personal level telling you you're cruel etc is a personal opinion and attack and has no place in uniform. Totally unprofessional. If your doing a legal activity and they're having a go and going out of their way to annoy ya I'd be taking all the details and sticking in a load of complaints.

    Think I saw on here few weeks back about a few led torches on amazon that people said were good for lamping , they were only couple quid but told they worked well out to 100yds or so Anyone remember what they're called please ?

    Just wondering since you mention a larger cal rifle ... do you have permission and shoot venison atm then ? I shoot around sw and have a spot with fallow but there's not loads kicking about unfortunately

    Have you got a number for them or something ? I lost a cap off my bushnell , think it's the same model even and they were useless to get a hold of, and when I finally got through none of their phone staff spoke English

    I went to one before n was full of self important people who like tell you how great they were n bossing people around Also a couple fantasists who seemed to think they were SAS or some shit ... weren't all like this but Deffo attracted some odd folk ... Rather stick a target up down the field and do some plinking n shooting on my own out in the countryside

    You're correct; give anyone power and they WILL eventually abuse it. But at the end of the day, people like you and me are more likely to never fall foul of the authorities , apart from maybe braking the Hunting Act, whereas people who end up in Guantanamo Bay or some "black prison" usually deserve to be there . Don't dispute it at all mate, those individuals are obviously 'no gooduns' ... I just worry how the difference between a terrorist and a freedom fighter all depends on which side your on. Maybe it's just me but it's a thought that concerns me

    It's just a little bit worrying when you think ... what if the government one day does something big, something to take away our rights and freedoms, I know we all complain about it being chipped away at but just imagine something big. What if you stand up ? Say enough is enough ? Take a stand ? ... you'd soon be branded a terrorist! It's act like the human rights act and the Geneva convention that may condone the way you'd be treated! I in no way think these proven terrorists deserve to be treated well for what they have done, especially proven killers and murderer's of innocen

    Same as when I'm out with the gun, if there's plenty about and ill eat it ill get it in the bag. Won't shoot hares as I don't like eating em, would shoot a deer with the 243 (but they always give me the slip lol), but there's something special about seeing a magnificent animal out in the field and always good to let em go (atleast for me). Sometimes I just love seeming em in the first place! Shame about the ban on the hares as I won't shoot em, no chance of out running a bullet but I imagine it's a magnificent sight to see one give a good dog a run for his money

    Looks a handy type and obv doing the job you want. How have you found him for training etc n how tall you think he'll end up ? Prob looking for my first lurcher come next season so considering this but fancy a beddy x too ?

    Do you earn good money doing that pal ? Always something I considered on the side as not a big drinker but always worried I'd get in stick n lose the sgc/fac or something

    Get one of those cash boxes with a lock and cut a hole for the lens to fit in. Then you can chain it round the tree etc. I had one from ALDI was top for about quid until some c**t robbed it. It has a code to use so the prick prob ended up chucking it in the bin ffs

    3 of the yearlings will go in the freezer ! The others all go to a pal of mine who happens to be a game dealer.. Over the course of the year I top the freezer up a couple of times , its funny when ever I do we get a lot of friends & family calling in ....red meat wise its about all we live on ., mince , game mix , joints (eating variety) , steaks you name we eat it ..saves a few quid as well .. Couldn't think of a better way to put quality meat on the table mate! Best of luck with rest of the season.
