  1. And without meaning to be contentious, I think an air rifle/headshot to be more humane and a quicker death than one just pricked with a couple of pieces of shot, as often happens with a shotgun.
  2. you add bull to that and you get a megalomaniac on steroids Thats why they added the coillie, as chilled as Bob Marley. Chilled as Bob Marley be f****d! You want to see a couple of the collies on a couple of farms we go on , chilled!?
  3. pellets I knew you'd come out with a 'dry' one lol
  4. I think anyone that thinks a whippet is going to be the same as, or compare it to a lurcher is missing the point of owning a whippet, I love the gutsy little fuckers
  5. Can only echo what the others have said, bitch looks a little belter
  6. Really like that rough dog, Irish terrier in him?
  7. I didnt know there was staff blood in wheatens j darcy,, i hear you, a good coat is a blessing. I didn't say staff...... Told you i didnt know lol, never really looked into the makeup of wheatens, how far back are you going j darcy. You go back even just 70- years and you'll find bull blood in a lot of supposed purebred terriers and running dogs

    Up Late

Yeah watched it when it first came out, old cnut that I am lol, watched it a few times over the years, good film
  9. That Mr Shaarrrrk is a plummer off an early mating of "new blood",she was bred out of "LACY'S" kennel but due to carrying no colour (CAPE or SHATTERED) and carrying 28% bull blood she could not be registered with any club or society, she was micro-chipped and I have all her details, date of birth etc,but as she looks like a russell that suits me fine,it gives me 2 directions to breed from but up to now I've only bred her to plummers, she is a fantastic worker and cannot be bossed about when working, she always gives her best and is a tireless worker if out all day, nothing is ever too much for her,
  10. think youve answered your question mate Then unless he joins some of the Irish lads over there, I take it he'll be running it illegally, only rats and rabbits over here, unless he was talking of 'coursing' rabbits of course, in which case he probably meant 'chase' not course, lol
  11. Buy a pup mate, unless you know the person selling and the dog very well, you don't want to be buying someone else's mistakes, + you'll get a lot more satisfaction bringing your own dog on
  12. Fair point, we don't do any ferreting and a taller dog is more versatile, due to it's height, where we work ours.
  13. The white bitch 5th pic down, is that a russell or russell/plummer? Very nice
  14. Same here, the bitch we have now's a cracker, but f**k me she's a moody twat! lol. Had a bitch years ago, and she was the same. My lad has a dog pup now, similarly bred as the bitch and comparing them temp wise, is like night and day
  15. Couldn't agree more. Have you got a dog of this breeding mate? Yeah it's the bitch my lad pm'd you pics of, sire 1st x c/g, dam 1st x d/g I remember. Lovely bitch that Yeah she has all the necessary qualities you mention, apart from her being too tall so she can't get down to pick up rabbits and therefore isn't agile enough! lol, how's your pup doing?Hahaha. She is coming on well thanks mate. 4 months old and 20" now... Nice, about the same age and size as my lad's pup How's that bred mate? Sire beardie/grey x deer/grey, dam pure grey. Sire 26" dam 25" Excellent mate.

  20. collie/grey x deer/grey , great feet, enough pace, stamina, agility, brains, oh yeah, and tenacity, should it need it lol
  21. Correct , I just saw a pic of a saluki and thought it was going to be 10 pages of nonsense, but I just read the whole post lol, very interesting and informative
  22. cornering hard? Any half tidy dog, no matter how it's bred, should be cornering hard. You think only saluki crosses can corner hard? Some of you lads need to take the blinkers off, there were, and still are, plenty of dogs with no saluki in catching hares, were rather, pre ban
