  3. No offence to anyone in particular, it's just that I find jokes on certain subjects a tad tactless. Carry on lads , oh yeah, I'd go the german route with a springer I agree with you some jokes are best kept to your self. but this other lad has asked for help . and by the way its hard to pick between the hw and the pro sport as there both cracking rifles :hmm: atvbmac

  7. That's sort of what I meant, almost all saluki type pups look big and strong
  8. Have read that siberian husky was put into the line that jeff burrel breeds, is that correct, and has it had any negative or positive results?
  9. Bred several of this type in the 1980's.... There was a fair bit of ambiguity (bullshit) doing the rounds back then.... Mine were no mystery,...simply my old hunting bitch Mercededes put to a big ugly sheepdog... Curious batch of pups though.... !! That looks just like one of them norfolk lurchers! Lol
  10. Very nice. What I find interesting is that all saluki, or mostly saluki type pups are strong, sturdy looking things and then mature into dogs that look sort of malnourished, not always I know, anyway, nice pups
  11. Don't want to piss on your chips lads, but french, english or f****n japanese, it aint humour in the slightest! Seen people receive some pretty severe beatings for making such 'jokes'.
  12. Anybody actually know exactly what went into these types originally, or were/are they just rough collie/cur types put to greyhound types then line bred? And yeah I know not all of em are rough coated
  13. I got a whippet does em regular on the lamp she's caught more hares than rabbit I even took her to the fen she done 2/2 a few weeks ago I got a whippet does em regular on the lamp she's caught more hares than rabbit I even took her to the fen she done 2/2 a few weeks ago Was a joke mate, I've owned and seen some good whippets which caught a fair few 'witches' ' before the ban' I know mate just shows ya that they are a fair bit easier on the lamp Or that most whippets, if allowed to mature a bit and strengthen up and develope, before they get run at stuff too young, do go on to be prett

  15. Nicole Wild, take note of the above post
  16. I'd agree with spiderfly, pretty f****n obvious why. Dog's still a young pup. At 13 months I wouldn't know if any of my dogs had 'bags of stamina'
  17. Had a pup in 80's bred from one of douglas's line ( supposedly ), put to a smooth black bitch of hancock's early border/beardiex greys, then put back to another douglas type. Sire was a rough light brindle dog at 26 1/2" and was used more for deer than anything else, but could certainly catch more than a few hares day and night. My pup which I called 'steel' was shaping up very nice, when I let her into the garden for 10 mins, and some c**t did actually 'steal' her! After that, have never left a dog of mine outside without watching it!
  18. even if they couldn't they were always advertised hjkc text talk for selling lurchers lol Lol good way to describe/lie about a dog, but not as amusing as the modern terms lol. Kin el, if someone was to use all the modern terms to sell a dog, they'd be writing half a book, not adding a few letters! Lol
  19. I wouldn't say that this dog is a stocky type I'd say it was racey my dog is of similar build, I mean thicker bone bit more muscle mass heavier build Its Hardly Sooty or lord of the night is mate He should of went to spec savers lol Don't think I've even seen a pic of sooty sam, but I thought he was supposed to be strong for a whippet?!
  20. And she don't waste energy yapping! lol
  21. Only cos it got whippet in it! lol
  22. As long as they don't waste energy yapping! lol
