  1. Yeah, but as u know all too well, it's still ALOT easier for the dog if the rabbit is running before the dog is slipped on it
  2. That's the thing walkiking up he ain't spotting them so didn't slip him . He's all bloody ears lol . Will keep going hopefully get a squater soon , Try and get one running so he sees it easier
  3. sire is collie/bull/grey Would that be beardie collie to some percentage then, judging by the coat?
  4. Don't think 'telling' anyone, or otherwise, will make much difference to anyone these days, the whole country is f****d!!
  5. Had the same with a couple of my lurchers, wouldn't touch liver til it was vey slightly cooked
  6. yeh prob the best chance you will get, but think the votes will go against it at the time, joe public don't want it back and the mps wont upset the apple cart as they say. Argue, jaw, talk and discuss all you like, but ray has just hit the nail on the head! Legal hunting in general is NEVER coming back!
  7. spot on, there might be loop hole for hunting with horse+hounds , but running dogs and terriers will be left in the history books and stay there, its gone for ever now and as pessimistic as this sounds, it's being realistic
  8. The reply from my local 'labour' mp was all I needed, and expected, to hear. I will, as I always have done, keep my head down and will NOT take ANYONE of even the tiniest, slightest hint of untrustworthiness anywhere near me, my lad and our dogs within a 10 mile radius of somewhere that I might even think of even going for a walk to!
  9. Said at the start and I'll say it again, as will MANY others, doesn't matter who, what or why you've voted for, the ban will NOT be reapealed. Almost the whole country, percentage wise, is against hunting with dogs, it's NOT going to be changed because a VERY small minority of the country's population go hunting, in any form.
  10. no grey in the bitch..saluki lurcher.x whippet x saluki lurcher.x whippet.same whippet bitch, brother of it some tool on the lamp run all night, sire is collie/bull/grey really like that bitch
  11. What's in the sire chid, if I remember correctly the bitch is mainly whip/grey with a dash of saluki? Really like the look of her, looks a keen little beast
  12. sire 9yr old next month dam is only a young bitch of 2 yr old but is a well bred wee thing !!! You've broken THL's rule, you CAN'T breed from a dog or bitch til it's had at least 4 - 5 years of 'graft' behind it! Have a word with yourself fella! Lol only joking, bitch looks a little belter. Good luck with the litter It was an accident , my mate was looking after the dogs turned his back for one minute then my kids let them out the run and the dog scaled a 20ft wall killed the neighbours rotty then went missing for 4 month and ended up at home just as the bitch was ready to stand all w

  14. Again spot on FFS you two! I'm glad I don't own a saluki, from any country, I wouldn't be able to sleep at night! Lol
  15. Like that lighter red pup, little belter
  16. Not wishing to argue and have no axe to grind about salukis, or over who owns what strain/line etc, or what country their dogs come from. But the owners/breeders in this country that have ran their dogs at european brown hares successfully, and have won comps etc, surely will have the better type of saluki, and as a saluki owner yourself, surely you must see that? And by the way, feel free to dismiss what I say, as I don't even like salukis! Lol, but wish the lad who's just imported his dog well the desert hare and yanki jack rabbit dont compare to the european brown hare on a good d

  18. I get what you're saying, but dogs bred in this country to run at european brown hares for a fair number of generations, are surely going to be a better proposition than using coo dogs that have been run at desert hares? Don't wish to hear about anyone's dog, pure saluki or mongrel lurcher, failing. But surely, if the dogs that have been bred here for generations are being sent back to coo to improve their strains, doesn't that say that the UK bred dogs, and the UK breeders are doing it better?
  19. A whippet x killing hares?! Lol, only joking. I've owned a couple of whip/greys and whip/collie/greys with very little collie in em that caught plenty of hares, very fast dogs, but they weren't what you'd call hare 'coursing' dogs. Not much law given, I wanted hares caught quickly, which in the main my dogs did.
  20. Was about to say the most important part of winning any class is the large breasted girl on then other end of the lead..
