56 Ah right lol, just with the amount of years with dogs was just a tad confusing. I'm tired lol
-
Morton, dogs since 5 years old, and more seriously for the last 36 years. Are you only 41 years of age then?
-
They look a fairly evenly sized litter to me, and well reared. And nice to see you're not trying to fleece people of their cash by asking astronomical figures for them, like some of these saluki bred pups go for. Good luck with them fella
-
How old are they LL?
-
Nice pup . Regarding the law, it's as green dragon says. If you have permission to be on the land you're hunting, then there's no problem, day or night
-
cheers pal must just be the wrong time or everyones already brought pups in ,will be a shame if they have to go to pet homes as they are cracking pups I still really like that darker bitch. And if I didn't have this young bich of mine, I'd have happily taken her off your hands. Liked her from the start. And I'm another that can't work out how they've not gone already. Good luck with them, cracking litter

Very nice pups mate. Anything else besides saluki in them?
-
Yeah you're right there fdr. Some real good fellas around back then, but not that many. Now you can hardly go for a walk without seeing at least half a dozen lurchers or running dog of some type. And I've got to say it, in those days, even though I'm a tad nervous as to whether I should write this, for fear of nasty reprisals, .............. but not a bull x to be seen! lol .Just kidding lads, I don't actually mind them as much as I make out lol Now every veggie bunny lovers got a rescue lurcher or saluki type, kinda funny really. Yep lol, some of the worst 'save the whale' and eve

I'm on the northyorkshie coast and i recon the rabbit numbers are well down, i don't mind it so much though cos imputting it down to the buzzard population!! my mate was on for one a couple of months back, i was watching through my scope and one flew down and nicked it before he had chance to shoot it!! pmsl as for hares iv only seen one pair in ages!! atb si Same here there's lots of kites and buzzards on the land I shoot I could stand and watch them all day.Theres a few half grown hares knocking about but after talking to 2 farmers yesterday both said there has been a big drop in hares

Deerhound X On The Lamp Before The Ban
shaaark replied to top dog 1's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
U keep up an at em types I like that bud hate a plodder lol. The 2 blacks at the end work well together eh mother and daughter -
seen a couple and they weren't that good. Not as quick as the collie lurchers on the day, and not as brave... Good hunters though in woodland and fellsideI'd have to see the parents working first like ! This foxhound X bull grey is suiting my needs at the moment great hunter and plenty of guts ! Never be a lamping dog which doesn't bother me Go for a fell hound or trail hound for a lamping dog! Much leaner than a normal foxhound. When you list the things a hound brings to lurcher lines it amazes me that they are not a popular cross but I must admit I wouldn't want too many knobs getting into

Nice bitch that. Was it b + t bull blood, or possibly saluki that gave the colouring?no saluki mate she half cross to half cross, out my black dogs sister,in the flesh she like black buck skin with tan patches, off the bull terrier, tar. That's what I though too Ok, just thought I'd ask, as there are plenty of b + t staffs still being produced from kc and non kc staffs. Personally I really like these b + t staffs

theres was never a lot of alsation xs even in the 70s they was few and far between.get your best dog and run it against birds joke , over 2 or 3 days to take away luck, and take one of your mates with you that way yowl look a bigger cnt than you already are Kin el, you seem an awfully aggressive type of person at times! Lol. But you are right, alsation x's were never a common type im not aggressive at all ,i don't like people who give advice when they don't know what there talking about, there is one thing iv learnt from him, i used to think he was an ass hole but he's not he's an

How much collie is in the dam L L?
-
Feck me when did you start adding intelligent input in.lol Lol I think katchum has a fairly deeply hidden amount of knowledge to be fair. He just likes getting people to bite! Lol. As an example, we now know that he is indeed a whippet lover, and that he sees no need for a 1st x bull/grey for rhfd, pre ban, when sensibly bred lurchers will do it all. Ok, I'll stop digging now lol

Belting post . And dare I say it, but before certain authors started writing about 'traditional' collie x's etc' that gundog, or even mongrel with a bit of gundog in, would've breen pretty much as common as collie x etc
-
I don't think they are as little used, or unpopular as many people seem to think. Alot of people with these types, same as a lot of people I suppose, wouldn't even consider coming on a hunting forum and writing about, or posting pics of their dogs. You could be right there too fdr
-
Surely if they were of much use they would be more popular? Let's have it right every cross under the sun has been tried at some point. The good stuff tends to stick around and the not so good stuff tends to fade away. Disagree with both above posts. And I'm not not getting into a debate on bull x's. Ok, some of the racy ones can be pretty useful, but 90% of them are shockingly shite, bred from shockingly shite parents etc, look how popular they are? Socks, not all gundogs are soft mouthed all of the time, and some not even soft mouthed at all. And a lab on an estate I worked on
