  1. Fieldcraft, what the feck IS THAT?!!
  2. Feck all wrong with a goldfish! Had one years ago, was single handed day and night, no problem, and no issues with feet, stamina etc at all! Lol. Good luck with the pup gaz
  3. Maybe read you slightly wrong? And I aint telling anyone what type to pick, just that traditional types are more than capable of all types of normal lurcherwork, and that the working lurcher scene has gone downhill since all these different types have come in, and the shit that's been bred from the poor specimens which alot of people breed from is cause for some concern. And for you to suggest that a bull x is capable of practically everything is, to me, certainly not correct. And cargol was asking for a type that could do a bit of everything, which I've personally never seen a bull x do. Not
  4. I agree with that. Years ago you only had a few different traditional lurcher x's, collies of some sort, and terriers, beddies normally, and longdogs, deerhound/greyound or whippet/greyhound, and lurchers, lurcherwok and owners were better for it. Nowadays you've got gsd, dutch shepherds, malinois, salukis, airdales, wheatens, foxhound, pointer and not forgetting the BULL X!! And look at the shit that's been bred since these types have been around! I'm glad that these x's are now thankfully starting to get less popular, as people are realising that you won't really improve upon the tried and t
  5. For those of us that aint mathematically minded , could you break that down simpler as in what the sire and dam are? Lol . Nice bitch by the way
  6. Yes much better to have a wider scope to draw from, when your main interest is in writing books and articles for papers every week. I could hardly see your post for adverts. Some of us have drawn our honest opinions from 30+ years in dogs and will offer an opinion when asked for (see cargols post) It may be biased and narrow buts its mine and given for free...You didnt even bother to offer the lad an opinion, just jumped on the bandwagon trying to sound clever as usual....Your just a female Plummer love....full of it. Are you having a bad day jeemes? I read alot of your posts, most of whic
  7. It helps mine, after an extra large chiken shish kebeb I can sleep ALL night! Lol

  11. Yeah, but as u know all too well, it's still ALOT easier for the dog if the rabbit is running before the dog is slipped on it
  12. That's the thing walkiking up he ain't spotting them so didn't slip him . He's all bloody ears lol . Will keep going hopefully get a squater soon , Try and get one running so he sees it easier
  13. sire is collie/bull/grey Would that be beardie collie to some percentage then, judging by the coat?
  14. Don't think 'telling' anyone, or otherwise, will make much difference to anyone these days, the whole country is f****d!!
  15. Had the same with a couple of my lurchers, wouldn't touch liver til it was vey slightly cooked
  16. yeh prob the best chance you will get, but think the votes will go against it at the time, joe public don't want it back and the mps wont upset the apple cart as they say. Argue, jaw, talk and discuss all you like, but ray has just hit the nail on the head! Legal hunting in general is NEVER coming back!
  17. spot on, there might be loop hole for hunting with horse+hounds , but running dogs and terriers will be left in the history books and stay there, its gone for ever now and as pessimistic as this sounds, it's being realistic
  18. The reply from my local 'labour' mp was all I needed, and expected, to hear. I will, as I always have done, keep my head down and will NOT take ANYONE of even the tiniest, slightest hint of untrustworthiness anywhere near me, my lad and our dogs within a 10 mile radius of somewhere that I might even think of even going for a walk to!
  19. Said at the start and I'll say it again, as will MANY others, doesn't matter who, what or why you've voted for, the ban will NOT be reapealed. Almost the whole country, percentage wise, is against hunting with dogs, it's NOT going to be changed because a VERY small minority of the country's population go hunting, in any form.
  20. no grey in the bitch..saluki lurcher.x whippet x saluki lurcher.x whippet.same whippet bitch, brother of it some tool on the lamp run all night, sire is collie/bull/grey really like that bitch
  21. What's in the sire chid, if I remember correctly the bitch is mainly whip/grey with a dash of saluki? Really like the look of her, looks a keen little beast
