  1. Similar thing with me when I did a fair amount of lamping. Bit of a rest after each run and made sure they had a drink of water, usually from a stream, every so often. No problems ever. But like gaz just said, I don't think electrolyes would do any harm
  2. He's a nice little pup, should do ok on the rabbits lol
  3. You will NOT get done, common sense prevailing
  4. easy to see the benefits of a bitch having nice small litter, its blindly obvious in them pups fat as butter ,often wondered why some lads want bring on some these massive litters we often see, still down to them i suppose. what you mean? why its squirrels thread what my dogs got to with anything, aint no collie in them Kin el WK, is it me reading things wrong or are you mellowing with age?! Not so long back I would have expected a prolonged tirade of abuse as a reply from you! Tut tut tut lol
  5. Lovely bitch, nice size too
  6. That's basically all I was saying is don't listen to, or be put off by what others say, or how hancock conducts his business. Nothing wrong with the dogs he breeds, or how the place is run. And if you want a genuine cross/type it's all there, and the breeding etc. Looks a nice bitch that albert64
  7. Ray, a quick question to you. I've owned a GSD bitch many years ago, but never a pure collie. I've had various lurchers with a fair bit of collie in, but never a 1st x. Is buck a more forgiving/easier dog to handle than bryn, both being 1st x's? being honest , there both of a sensitive nature, so both same in that way, you have treat them with kid gloves . But prob Bryn the worse really, if you just look at him wrong, you may as well take him home, where as Buck just wants to hunt day/night, even in pain or if you give him a bollocking lol, he more full on temp in the hunting mode, tha

  9. Nothing wrong AT ALL with the dogs I've seen directly from hancock, or dogs bred from dogs from hancock. Going up this friday with my son to pick his pup up. Seen a few over the years, NOT picking their runs, NOT stalking, and as keen on taking anything that any other type/cross is run at. And in my opinion, and what I've seen, the people that have owned collie x's, from anywhere, not just hancock, and have had little success with them, have been impatient and a bit clueless if I'm honest, and would have little success with any type of lurcher. An old friend of mine and his brother, both go
  10. Good info there sirblessed, enjoyed that . I suppose there are many similarities with deer/greys and deer/collie/greys over here
  11. No greyhound blood in there buddy... He one of your pups then snifferboy. Just a slight question as to the height that's all, as you don't hear of too many beddy/whippets that tall at that age. Lovely pup though I think they are all roughly that size buddy, mine is a touch smaller, more like her mum but my dads is a giant... Looks like it should be pulling a cart!!! Bare in mind that the Sire is 22" and 18kg's so they should level off at around that, thats what I'd hoped for... I get what you're saying . I've owned whippets over 22" in the past, and none were fragile
  12. You'd not find me walking about all night on a freezing night in january either! Lol

  14. Cracking pup in good nick, but at 20" tts at just over six months, are you sure there's not a bit of greyhound blood in there somewhere? Nice pup all the same
  15. Without getting into a debate, have you never seen a good lamp dog also catch hares in the daytime? Genuine question, no malice intended
  16. Lol just going with the flow of this thread last night . My competetive edge left me many moons ago lol. But thanks for the offer

  19. What is your preferred type of lurcher wk? I'm not saying collie x's don't stalk or pick their runs, but I'v seen practically every type/cross do the same, and like you've said, most of those were down to lack of fitness, and the owners giving them unrealistic slips/runs.Also, I have to say I've personally seen no genuine collie x pick it's runs, most of them being as keen as any other type for run after run I honestly ain't got a preferred type, Iv had few different types over years and made a dog I was happy with out of most. Iv said it before, I'v never fancied the same type again when ne

  22. Backward cnuts!!! Said it before, but some of the most deluded, tree hugging, save the whale etc morons that rescue greyhounds and lurchers, are of the type you've just mentioned, and are horrified that the type of dog they've 'rescued' actually wants to run and kill other animals! Lol. The world's gone FAAACKIN MAD!! Lol
  23. Looks an interesting pairing, how's the bitch bred and what height are they both?
