  1. Quite correct there what you say about different types sir. There are a couple of members on here with picardy blood in their dogs, don't know if it's just picardy though. Keeganrees and zx12edge I think got the dogs with picardy blood, they're the ones I remember off the top of my head
  2. Well written db. But again, and I've said this in the past a few times, you've written the 'sport' when it comes to hunting. Hunting is hunting, not sport, and the sooner people stop using the word 'sport' the better. I know the majority of people partaking in working dog activities etc use the word 'sport', as in 'fieldsports' etc, but we're doing ourselves no favours by continuing to use that word, it's hunting, in whatever form. Doesn't mean you still can't take pride in your dog/dogs if they work well etc, but using the word 'sport' says to all those opposed to hunting that we're doing

  4. Can't stand that c**t either! Those terriers weren't forced to go 'chutney ferreting' were they?! Lol. I've said it for years , we need a documentary I agree we need to find a way of putting our side accross no good sitting on here bitching about it in the last thread there were emails sent complaints made and they've run another story on it !! I also agree with that. A program like 'out of town' which was hosted by jack hargreaves, would be good. He had a great, sensible way of putting things across.
  5. Wouldn't they make nice allrounders anywhere? Not trying to clever, just interested. Most places around the uk have thousands of acres of land broken up into smaller tracts of land and fields etc Id say they would. with the correct upbringing entering ect Sometimes in a litter, you get some more like the greyhound, along with greyhound running problems, but if you can pick one that has best of both worlds, it should be a handy dog i reckon. Got you. Was tempted by a 'coursing bred' type a while back, never again. A first cross I'd still be interested in. As in you know what yo

  7. Honestly mate, it's brilliant, my son shot mine on the second day I had it, and immediately part exed his fx wildcat for one! He's a very experienced shot and has owned god knows how many different rifles, his new 110 is already his favourite. Lighter, better balanced and quieter than the 100, even the K versions. I really am over the moon with mine. Am now on the lookout for another HW springer to go with my . Been thinking of a 98 and a 97k. Hope I don't start getting the 'bug' which alot of you lads seem to aquire! lol different strokes for different folks...shaaark i had the 110

  10. Lol glad you realise I'm only taking the pi55 lol. I think you'll do very well with this type, I've had a couple in the past that were extremely useful, on allsorts, not just rabbits. Good luck with the litter

  12. FFS don't let morton know about this litter, he'll be telling you that 95% of the litter will be shite, because they're out of a greyhound! Lol Who you kidding the whole lot will be shite!! Greyhound dam pffffft,a shivering useless no good for nothing whippet & a stalking, run picking b*****d of a collie Unoubtedly, the whole lot will be crap lol. The three worst breeds of dog, on this site anyway, mixed together, obviously will be shite, especially as one parent is pure greyhound lol
  13. Not a surprise to me at all. I was looking for a new pcp, and tried/shouldered LOADS of different rifles, including a 110, in various rfd's, and shot a couple of different ones owned by mates, including a HW100 KT, which I sort of had my heart set on, but it wasn't for me. And have shot quite a few of my son's rifles, rapids, ultras and a few others. All very good, but not quite what I wanted. Back to a local rfd to have another look, and he tells me they've just had two 110's in, .177 and .22. The .177 was sold within the first couple of hours of being in the shop. So had a 'proper' look

  15. I will be comparing the 2 tomorrow night mate. Not with MIK mind. Gonna be on some real big land with my D Lloyd 150, D Lloyd 120 and the lightforce blitz 240. Unfortunately I won't be back on to post my findings. Just about had enough of the muppets on here so gonna say goodbye. It's a shame cuz there's some top lads on here and I enjoy posting my pics. But it's hot around my area at the moment. Wildlife copper is on the ball. I've had knocks on the door before and the last thing I need is people who haven't got a clue what they're talking about posting absolute nonsense. It just draw
  16. Looks a very usefuk dog him jigsaw. Is he a straight sal/grey?
  17. Yep, f**k em. A nice bit of christmas grub
  18. Absolutely abysmal, anyone that thinks any of that is in any way the correct way to go about hunting need help. Disgraceful and yet even more ammo for the antis, doesn't matter what country it's in. It's getting shown in this country and being watched by british people on a hunting site, f***ing unbelievable. Yes I watched the first and parts of a couple of the other vids because I thought it was going to be something relevant or of interest. I fear the f***ing worst!
  19. Good post .the big thing with this x is keeping them sound to run or alive due reckless style of running , had 2 over the years took all game ,very fast ,lacked wind and both didnt live long . went down the bull coursing dog route few years ago now ticks all the boxes So in effect, what you say there is the bull didn't add anything that a pure greyhound doesn't have; reckless, no wind etc, but plenty of speed and drive. going by what people on here write about greyhounds lol. Not having a dig, but it seems like you may as well have a pure greyhound. the greyhound will only give s

  21. I thought it was a Manchester terrier LOL Lol I did ask jcm if there was manchester terrier in that dog lol. Nice little dog though
  22. To get back to the ''working man's'' price, and I'm talking lurchers, terriers, and the price of air rifles, as well as gundogs and shotguns, I find it quite laughable that people will pay more than £1000 for an air rifle, yet begrudge spending more than £150-£200 for a lurcher or terrier pup, and the same with gundogs. People will happily spend whatever it costs for a well made shotgun, and again begrudge spending say £400-£700 for a well bred gundog pup. Madness. If you want a pup that you think is a little expensive, save a little more for a little longer. All this "working man's" price is
  23. Best thing I've read on here for quite a while, fairplay lol. And good to see people are getting in the xmas spirit lol
  24. What are you thinking of breeding her with sesku?
