    Funnly enough, I was watching some you tube vids the other night with borzois coursing hares. I've never seen one off the lead in real life, and I was pleasantly surprised with the speed, stamina and agility they showed. Wouldn't say they'd be ideal for rabbits though

    Anytime now the match challenges will be doing the rounds, with pups that are so well bred the lines go back to the pair of dogs that noah took with him on his ark. That was something to do with the middle east or thereabouts I think

    Can't believe I'm writing this, but I actually agree with you! Lol. Tone of voice is key with any pup, especially in situations with other dogs around. That's all I'm saying on the subject. Don't want people jumping down my throat lol

    Just watched this for the second time, and there are a few points I'd like to say. 1. There are moronic muppets that own running dogs all over the world, not just Britain. 2. In today's 'enlightened' world I still find it hard to believe that people put up vids like this in the name of 'entertainment' for the world to see. 3. Doesn't matter how you look at it, 'it's different in their culture' blah blah blah bullshit, it's still cruelty. 4.     Seen more than a few doing exactly that over the years nl. That and their inablity to train a dog and their piss poor attitude to dogs/hunting in general. And since the ban more clueless nerks have got into dogs, and lamping in particular. All of which was the deciding factor in me not taking anyone with me when I used to lamp a fair bit. Just not worth the hassle

    I hadn't heard of it until I just read your post. Said it to my son, as soon as the ban was passed, 'that's it, and there'll be no going back EVER'. It's all being surreptitiously eroded, and a shooting ban altogether won't be too far off, as well as what they've already banned.

    I think it's the same with most of the guarding/working dogs these days. Most people opt for the easier to obtain british bred stuff these days. But if you do a bit of homework and are prepared to dig a little deeper, importing or buying pups from imports etc, some of these dogs are great. Look at the state of the majority of GSD'S, as an example, bred in this country, shocking. Not saying ALL, but the majority. Same with alot of the german or continental breeds
