  1. I think you are correct. How dare someone of such uncouth arrogance dare come on here and upset the jovial equilibrium ?
  2. Come on fella, enough's enough, get some beans down ya neck! You'll feel all the better for it ? ?
  3. Phil, is that your old bitch maddie?
  4. Seen a couple of pics of that dog on here. Certainly looks alot faster than you'd imagine a hound cross to be. Looks a nice dog. If I'm right, I seem to remember him saying the dog is also biddable, another trait I personally wouldn't have thought a hound cross to be
  5. You missed your beans today mate? I was being whimsical ?
  6. Correct. I f***ing detest all that sort of bullshit, and the idiotic morons that feel the need to film it, never mind posting it for all the world to see! Idiotic morons of the highest order, that feel so insecure with their own pathetic lives, that they somehow think that sharing that sort of cruel rubbish will boost their pathetically low egos and self esteem! Like I said, idiotic, brainless, and egotistical. Now if it was a good hare coursing vid, that'd be a different thing ?
  7. Without meaning to sound big headed, I've caught a fair number of things over the years, and not once have I felt the need to take pics of anything me and my dogs caught, never mind videoing any of it. It's been going downhill for years, but the way it's getting the last maybe 10ish years, you are correct, more ammo for the antis. As colliejohn said the other day in the collie x thin on the ground thread, the totally wrong people have been getting into lurchers for all the wrong reasons for a number of years, especially since the ban. NO WAY ON EARTH will a repeal be even a remote possib
  8. Exactly what I said the other day. Get in a s a p to dispatch it yourself. Shouldn't be there to see how long it takes, or if indeed your dog can kill it. People that put up vids like that are complete bellends
  9. Chase probably wasn't filmed cos he couldn't film and drive at the same time
  10. No, no dogs at present. Been going through a few health issues last couple of years, but things seem to be getting on the up. So the near future will see me with another pup hopefully
  11. Was just about to post something similar, but a tad shorter. Some pups settle alot quicker than others, especially when raised indoors, my preferrerd way of doing things. Nice pup ☺?
  12. Very nice. Love some of these first cross whip/greys. Owned and seen a few of these that were cracking dogs on all sorts of quarry
  13. Cracker he is s h h. Seen a few of this exact breeding do very well on all quarry over the years ?
  14. Well, to be honest, the best dogs I've personally witnessed, have all had a fair old drop of collie in them. Don't know about all this instinct mullarky, cos back in the day we'd be straight in to finish it, and that's the truth
  15. Show off! ........... ? ......... ?
  16. To be fair mate, it aint really that retarded a post, we are on the hunting life ?
  17. Or he ate beans out of an open tin that'd been put in the fridge, and the microbes scrambled his brain ?. Either that, or he aint as kennel blind as people that think only bull x's will cath fox regularly ?
  18. Yeah but my bitch was 1/4 deerhound. Still, with him being 15 1/2" at that age, I'd still expect him to make 28". Like I said though, cracking pup ?
  19. Lol just tugging ya tadger mate lol. Looks a nice, useful bitch that ?
  20. You obviously travelled south for those rabbits, they were running away from the dog
  21. Obviously a northern rabbit, it ran straight into the dog's mouth
  22. Cracker he is fd. Same size as my old bitch at same age. She ended up a fraction under 29"
  23. Be interesting to hear other people's opinion on this too. My brother in law's dog, gc beddy x whip/grey, 20 1/2" was no slouch over about 50 yards, but was sometimes made to look a little lacking speedwise, on the lamp. And if a hare got up, he had no chance, only seen him catch one, and that was lucky, and when he missed, would then be head down and gone for the next 15-20 mins. Daytime, he was a cracking dog, and caught well, and would work tirelessly all morning. I know not a 1st x beddy/whippet, but roughly the same size. I think if a 1st x turns out quite small, say less t
  24. first time I seen the vid today, very funny. Was on my phone the other day when I gave my first comments, and couldn't access the vid. B n, as long as you get some beans into you with the meat, you'll be ok. Eating animal protein and veg protein at the same time makes it a complete protein, so no problem
