  1. Ok einstein, what are the two most popular lurcher tupes that people that do digging use? You won't see too many saluki/coursing types, or 3/4 grey/collies, or deer/grey x whip/greys accompanying them
  2. You're reading too much into what I said. Careful you don't give yourself a headache, brains ?
  3. You thick f****r, I meant YOU re read my post. You will CLEARLY see that I said I've owned running dogs all my life, not 35 years. Ffs, not too hard for you is it?
  4. Seems I upset a few people on here yesterday. Ok fellas, didn't mean to offend anyone in particular. And in hindsight, and being diplomatic, what I should've wrote is that, FOR ME, there is no need for bull, or wheaton blood in a lurcher. But I still maintain that waiting around a fox earth or badger sett isn't really lurcherwork, but obviously people will have their own views on this. Still gonna be a long summer though. Adios amigos ? ?
  5. Reread my post. I said I've owned a couple of bull terriers in the last 35 years. Owned running dogs for far longer than that. I know nothing about dogs, cos I said hanging about outside a fox earth or badger sett aint 'really' lurcherwork lol. There are a few breeds of dog that can do that
  6. Tut tut fellas, a sunday afternoon at the end of june, and still people are taking this site too seriously! ?
  7. Well I'll tell you, seeing as you're another dimwit. Strongdogs of any type are NOT needed to be included in the bloodline for any lurcher that is destined for proper lurcherwork. And I'll say it again, hanging about outside a fox earth or badger sett is NOT proper lurcherwork
  8. Yes, oh wise one. Far too much dog for me. Ffs muppet, I've owned running dogs all my life, and a couple of bull terriers in the last 35 years. And I can tell you categorically, that bull terrier blood is NOT needed in a lurcher
  9. And I don't mean lurchers with a bit of bull in, I mean proper just bull and grey crosses
  10. Not too many, I would'nt have thought. 30 ish years ago, when the mighty bull crosses started getting popular, alot of people ditched the older types for these new 'superstars', only to realise that these 'superstars' weren't all they were cracked up to be, and then got back into the 'old timers'. Lol. I f***ing HATE bull crosses! ?
  11. Like I said lads, these types have been very useful for me. And some of the best lurchers of any type have been this exact type. Love em
  12. Anyway poxon, yes it is nice to see the more traditional types making a comeback, even if they never really went away ?
  13. See, now we have a bit of common ground. I said from the start, how can this ban be policed etc, when it comes to many lurcher lads going about their business quietly with no fuss, and more importantly NOT blabbing to all and sundry and NOT posting pics etc
  14. Hey blackie, that's what I meant with my earlier posts. Politics etc had alot to do with the ban, as you will be aware, but it done the lurcher lads moreso than most ?
  15. Have never asked f**k all about fleas you deluded muppet!! Lol. Nearly 40?! Lol I've got 20 years on you fella, and been in and around dogs all my life, and trust me, the ban was NOT brought in because people were 'skulking' about lol.
  16. I know there is a bit more to the ban than my above post, politcs etc, but that's the gist of it.
  17. I thought you were older than what you are, judging your last recent posts lol. You sound about 25, so know not alot in reality. People, myself and several other members on here included, were 'skulking' about with our lurchers decades before a ban was even thought of. The ban came about through egotistical c**ts that know f**k all posting pics etc all over the internet, and ruining many farmer's land, crops, fences etc, in their subarus, 4x4's or whatever, in their pursuit of worthless quarry to kill so that they could show their equally brain dead and gullible sidekicks. Or do you,
  18. Owned a couple, and seen quite a few of these at work over the years. And they've all been very good on all quarry, especially on the lamp. Probably the type I favour more than all others
  19. So because you saw two lads with lurchers and some rabbits in your town, and no-one said anything to them, everything's fine with lurcherwork in this country eh? Ffs. Facts are about 90% of people in britain are opposed to hunting in any form, even if most of them are not 'really' antis. And it's been getting worse every couple of years since about the late 70's
  20. I think it was like that most places mate. Times, dogmen and dogs have gone downhill alarmingly the last 30 years. And I sometimes think how lucky we were before all the modern day way of conducting yourself came in. Sad, but inevitable I suppose
