  1. Yeah, after I asked you what it was, it came to me while I made myself a cup of tea lol. Couldn't really remember the last time I saw one lol. Cracking job fella ?
  2. Hell of a transformation that fella ?. What make is it?
  3. Yes the amount you need to feed is surprisngly small. And yes, expensive, this is the last week he'll be on it
  4. Find a way that suits you and your family mate. Everyone will have their own way of feeding and you'll get get 20 different answers. Feeding raw, whatever the source, aint practical for some but is for others. At the moment my pup, six months old, is on a mix of acana wholeprey, and lamb and chicken mince, beef or tripe, and the odd carcass and bones etc every couple of days. After tuesday he'll be on 100% raw. Do what's best for your circumstances mate ?
  5. Same here, love those little 30's, and that new 110k looks right up my street. Had the 110 ST, and loved it, but had to send it back with losing power twice within 6 weeks, put me right off. But have been told that those issues have been cleared up with the new models. Not had an ultra, and was thinking of getting one, or a scorpion, was looking at them in one of my local rfd's a couple of weeks ago. But now these 110k's are on the way, I'd rather one of those. See how they are for reliability etc for a while, then have a good look ?
  6. As some of you lads have already said, I was really enjoying this thread. I hardly ever venture into the terrier section on this site, but this was a cracking thread. Shame if it gets ruined by a couple of nerks
  7. Which one mate, the 30s or the 110k, or like me, both? Lol
  8. Just read this thread, and he sounds similar to my old dog. Long dead now, but he used to take a while to catch the majority of his rabbits as well, even though he was on em in seconds. Sort of like he wasn't that interested. Hares and deer, different story, caught very quickly once he was on them. I've said about this dog before on here, and dogs certainly do have a preference as to what they really want to catch or not. Perhaps he was like my old dog, rabbits weren't really his thing
  9. Yep, again my thoughts. But my son showed me a pic on his phone yesterday. And the mag lever and safety cathes are now black and it did look to be a tad smaller, and with a reduced shot count. Also said power issues have been sorted and with slightly different internals. Asked him how he got the pic and info, he said blackpool air rifles either have them in stock now, or available very shortly? Been looking for it for the last hour on the web, no joy lol ?
  10. Yeah, that's what I was thinking. But was told blackpool air rifles have them in stock. Only recently been available, about 50 shots in .177 and shots in .22?
  11. Hi lads, was told yesterday that weihrauch have a new updated carbine version of the 110. Is this correct, as I can't find anything on the web about it?
  12. Look nice them mate, hope it works out for you ?
  13. Dead right mate. And there'd be no need to keep writing the ridiculous 'pre ban' when discussing what your dogs have caught.
  14. Socks woukdn't know a good whippet if one bit him on his lower lip, not hard Why not, there's a greyhound section?
  15. I know it's a saying, ya pleb And I know what you're saying, but you said a while back you''ve a kennel full of chocolate terriers. There'll be 10 times the amount of black terriers that are good workers, to chocolate ones, how you gonna know if you only pick by colour? And there are plenty of people that do, possibly one of the reasons that there's so much shit about these days ?
  16. As above, we have a greyhound section in the country interests section. About time there was a whippet section
  17. Yep, each to they're own. But how can you tell if a pup is going to be a good worker when it's only 8 - 10 weeks old? Said before and I'll say it again, can't stand chocolate coloured dogs, whatever the breed ?........... ?
  18. Daniel, I thought you liked those chocolate ? things?! Lol ?
  19. Straight2hand is the fella. Dog looks a cracker ?
  20. Think there's a fella on here that has 3/4 grey 1/4 fell hound. Looks like a good dog, and what from I remember, it's obedient etc as well
  21. Nice pup that mate, alot like his sire. Should make a good size ?
  22. I should add that I am NOT the best dog trainer by far, but I also find when retrieve training with a pup, don't be in a rush to take the ball, dummy or whatever, off the pup, and let them have a good rag about with it, they normally come back to you with the dummy for another go, and you're then already halfway there. Works every time for me. I know this isn't really answering your question, but maybe of some help in the future. Good luck mate ?
  23. As bird, and yourself, have said, alot of lurchers can get bored with retrieving training very easily/quickly. As pups I only do 2 or 3 retrieves then stop, a couple of times a week when they're roughly 10 - 12 weeks, and that's it. Then until they start working I'll probably give them 1 or 2 retrieves every couple of weeks or so. I think retrieve traing is THE most common part of training which is massively overdone. My best dog for retrieving though, would retrieve NOTHING, and I mean nothing, until I started working him. Then every rabbit or hare he caught would be retrieved straight b
  24. And lurchers with beardie in are shit, unless they're bred down from dogs which he owned
