    Mines out with the dog to get some fresh air and some runs in and some me time hopefully we catch a few but I’m happy if we only catch one as ones better than none as I’m not a professional pest controller or label my self as one it’s a hobby (lamp) if I ferret that’s more of a clearance job to clear stragglers up but normally lamp as that’s were my passion lays

    Shooting is boring as shit I don’t find it sporting or as interesting as using a sporting dog you have trained your self to catch em for you far better adrenaline rush an interesting to watch but each to there own ain’t used a gun for years

    I’ve had 3 blank nights this season that we’re blank one night was the worst night ever we were miles from civilisation it hammered it down piss soaked through the longest walk home the other 2 were on the farm I look after only quick trips but blank we all have shit or blank nights

    Got to of been worth filming ain’t it you watched it that’s what the guy makes videos for on utube so people watch them ? it does show though you can go out expecting more than you actually catch that’s what I like about Andrews videos there not all made out to be all amazing nights/days out his videos he lays all cards on the table an shows it how it is

    Not trying to tell you what to do but might be worth you not letting the young un loose in the dark with a springer it’ll teach the pup it’s perfectly ok to hunt up after dark especially once it gets catching or ready for work mentally young dogs are terrible at picking up bad habits your more than likely create a problem of hunting up

    Look on here you’d think it would be easy getting a decent pup with all the people that work dogs an breed regularly there’s a few people sorting the odd person out but I recon people are less likely to gift them to strangers off here now or sell at working man prices because of people buying to sell on at a gain I know you always get people on here saying if a dogs good the litter won’t need advertising but I’ve always had a question to that saying if a man keeps out the way and don’t advise the dogs trade an only runs a dog with a few close acquaintances in his running circle how does every

    was thinking of getting more chickens for laying for my kids they wanted some we were going to use them to till our veg patches but I couldn’t be bothered wi the red mite breeding feckers in the end with all the looking after them an up keep my kids would be interested for a bit then it’d end up me looking after them so bottled it I would like some more but just not the job of looking after them lol

    This first season un of mine she’s obedient an has a very good recall she’s stock broken the only thing she’s not stock broke to is chickens I’ve never had her round them an probably never will tbh . I really like this bitch she’s perfect for me in every way she’s driven an game an we’ve a very good bond with one another she’s my shadow the apple in my eye an all that ?but I’ve not got a hope in hell of calling her off deer,fox,hare or rabbits there on her list of quarry if they get up accidents will an have happened.but I guess it’s what you use the dog for I guess I can’t ask a dog to track

    Get your self a location tracking collar mate so you know what distance he’s/she’s fecked off in good for retracing were the dogs been to see if anything has been dropped

    Just asking for trouble driving over farmers land an crops! Had it near us lately it said in the village news letter it’s apparently happened a few times crops being turfed up by poachers in 4x4s looking for hares an deer gives all people that runs dogs the shitty end of the brush did have a little chuckle though because there’s no hares on there I know this as fact.Can imagine all the nosy villagers being on high alert now though to anyone having a cheeky little lamp there be informing the police straight away trying to be a village hero the first sight of lites ??
