Does nobody do write ups anymore
poxon replied to hard grafter's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
Waist of time doing any write up an putting anything on here may as well just keep a good hunting trip to your self an the company you keep and just enjoy your dogs be it terriers or Lurchers what ever your game is. same wi the Lurchers put anything on that section you get ripped to bits....not out enough needed to be doing at least 4-5 days or nights a week dogs not fit carrying to much muscle or not enough to many know it alls in the dog game most ain’t got a clue they spend so much time chatting bollox on here of internet gathered knowledge an wise dog man wisdom. It’s all about negatives a -

Just about any lurcher is good enough for rabbits I find you limit your self more in finding one when you want say a genuine 3quarter greyhound collie or a f1 beddy or collie greyhound as these types of crosses not many people use them these days the people that used to use genuine 1/2 breds or 1/4 breds have moved on or bred on they just breed lurcher to lurcher or worker to worker your probably be better of keeping a open mine an go for a Lurcher to Lurcher bred with a drop of a few bits an bobs in its breeding long as it’s predominantly racey bred ie heavy sight hound blooded your not go fa

Definitely the dog game. I’ve had the last 5 seasons of stop start no serious dog action with the issues I had with dogs the first pup out my old bitch getting lepto an dieing then the old bitch crippled her self then the other young bitch out the old bitch kept nocking toes out an just generally didn’t make what I was looking for dogs can be a nightmare when you want to get on an out an work dogs but it’s all part of the parcel it makes you appreciate it more when there up an running

I give up ?? I couldn’t of started the topic any simpler I’m not interested in a argument with you or anyone else to be honest I just wanted to see pictures of working sight hounds an there crosses just thought being on the working lurcher section it’d be made simple no bull shit expert talk wasn’t interested in looking through a pretty picture gallery of loads of different breeds an types I’ve not said your dog don’t carry muscle I’ve just said it’s a fine build dog meaning being a different type of hound that it is no offence intended. I’ll bid ya good evening fella crack on an all that??

Ffs you’ve turned it in to the covid thread now ??
-
I feel that??But that’s probably why it’s the same old people posting on every post just thought I’d try to be clever an get a post going that didn’t really involve discussion just pictures to admire
-
Surly it can’t make it for a better forum when people see all the ins an outs of muscle in dogs chit chat when someone who don’t post or hasn’t posted before sees all that it might make them think twice about bothering to post in fear of arm chair experts having a opinion on there dogs fitness wouldn’t do anything to get new people involved with posting it’d put them off wouldn’t it
-
It wasn’t a discussion I was after just photos would do ??as that’s what the thread was aimed at with the title an first post not the ins an outs of dog muscle or machanics or physical capabilities I wanted a nice simple post were anyone could come an just pop a pic up
-
If a dogs doing what someone wants an expects from there dog in the field there fit for the job ain’t it ??If there happy with there dog/s an want to share a picture who are we to comment on there dogs fitness unless trying to undermine them in some way trying to swing judgment on a well muscle to a fine build dog or trying to prove some kind of point on how hard or not hard enough a dogs worked but I can see why you’ve added this comment as you keep a super fine build of dog but my thread wasn’t posted to undermine any dog there is/was no hidden agenda I just wanted to see some pictures of do

I’ve asked for pictures of fit dogs no tricks no hidden agendas it’s nice to see em an the time of year where dogs are pulling a bit o fitness being the hunting season after all??I’ll leave a picture of my young un it’s her first season grade a way fella ??I’m happy with her she’ll bush, ferret,an lamp for me seems to be caching well enough for me an likes a crack at a few other bits an bobs ?Ps you’ve probably already seen this pict

Not beating round the bush ?no one in particular but over the summer I kept seeing on here real dog man speeches from real dog men! just thought the times nice to see some pictures but then again I’m sure I’ve seen some real dog man speeches from you in the past I’m guilty of it my self ?? wouldn’t hurt to bang a picture or two up of your up an coming dog up as it should have a bit of fitness in it by now I know you said you not at it as much as you once were but who gives a feck this thread was done to see some dogs either fit or coming in to fitness
-
Ffs only asked for some pictures of running fit sighthunds/Lurchers as there’s no excuses as it’s season time! An it’d be nice to see some of these 4-5nights a week dogs that I keep hearing about. All I’ve got is excuses, terriers an schooling on muscle my question wasn’t a trick question it was just of pictures of fit dogs that are doing a bit
