    collie crosses are weird/funny buggers but don’t think I’d be without a bit of collie blood in a lurcher mix I wouldn’t have a straight collie cross or a 1/4 collie greyhound but would have 1/4 collie mix bred lurcher to a bit of bedlington greyhound or deerhound or bull greyhound mix bred Lurcher think mix bred Lurchers are the bollox an the way forward in modern times collie has a lot to offer even though some are tapped in the head weirdos

    Hi Jason hope you get lucky mate ??the beddy whippet is one of the most peddled crosses always people selling them at a premium on pet for sale sites an fb but at a guess I’m guessing the for sale sites have banned sales because of covid 19 don’t get your self stitched up paying a premium for something not very well bred that is just bred to sell if your wanting one for work wait it out for the right gear it’s always worth the wait ?? there was 2 guys on here wanting to breed there bitches when they come in season if memory serves me right fred off here was on about putting his f1 beddy/whip

    Bred a bitch twice tied for first litter had her scanned was told 4 pups 8 were born the scanning can’t pick up accurate numbers it just tells you if there in pup or not they try doing a count up of heart beats but it’s not a accurate number in side of em.second litter same dog an bitch no tie 10 pups

    Bargains to be had on vet bed on eBay shop as well some times you can get off cuts or remainder of roll colours that don’t sell well dirt cheap I’ve had a few bargains over the years buying that way ??

    Good luck mate ??A question worth asking with rabbiter dogs is age of parents with rabbits in decline unless from up north of the uk getting any thing out of youngish parents unless there more than rabbit dogs is a risk to if there actually any good or not. Another thing to watch out for is if you go to view a litter an they own a load of Lurchers an they tell you there all good workers not many men/women can find enough to keep more than a couple of dogs in regular work just watch out for scammers an bull shitters

    All id do is figure out what cross takes my fancy an how much I’m looking to spend then phone any one with a litter for sale of the desired cross id ask loads of questions about the litter id even write questions down I wanted to ask over the phone to see if my mind was set an all boxes were ticked then ask for a viewing you can always gauge if there bull shitters or not an no ones forcing you to part with your cash or saying because you gone to look at a litter you gotta have one your own mind will be set if you see a well reared litter if there good uns or not by what your told an see on vi

    Lurcher games a short straws game mate there’s a 50/50 chance what ever way you buy you ending up with dirt or a good dog there not be a que of people wanting to take you out just so you can see there dogs work so you can make your mind up if there for you or not they don’t know you from the next man people just breed for there selfs an either gift or sell surplus off to anyone who’s wanting a work bred pup from them it’ll be a case of pay your money take your chances.     I found two young pups together don’t work at all you can’t get no obedience training in to them when there together there only interest is in there sibling an pissing about ive seen it loads of times people bringing 2 on an none ever trained up to even a half decent standard may as well not bothered training

    The moons up here with cloud cover but pretty dark looking out over the village it’s more a evening walk really with a lamp no full on trip it’ll take me a hour an half walk at best I’ll get the little ratcatcher out an give her a dusting off ive not used it for 2yrs so have to check the o rings to see if it still holds co2 pressure I would be interested to see what lb it shoots to see if it’s legal as I’ve heavy modified it plus played about with the co2 chamber to hold more gas per shot it’s got a bit of a wack behind it.     Lot of playing about with insurances mots an taxs an repairs an stuff used to have loads of lad toys bikes,cars etc before settling down id love to have the funds again to have vehicles for every occasion but funds won’t allow

    Jimny’s are smart little 4x4s cracking little off roaders but won’t be big enough as I need plenty of space in the back for a little business I’m going to be setting up but if I wasn’t trying to set a business up I’d definitely had a jimny that would of been my choice of little 4x4 cheap to run cheap tax an insurance only being 1.3l parts everywhere an cheap ??

    I’m itching to go now but going to look local tonight. Definitely be up for a crack on the squirrels the bitch is mad for trying her luck on them I’ve got a little modified crossman ratcatcher I built a few years ago that needs some use since building it it’s sat in safe storage as I’m not really a gun man or had any permission to use a gun worthwhile. I like the Isuzu d max,l200s an the newer navaras but ain’t got a clue really ive been saving to buy a van for a while as I want to start my own business but that’s now changed to a 4x4 so need to work harder an save more lol I’ll be on foot

    I mentioned to my misses how great this opportunity is I’ve been given if the land holds gear I said I can get some more ferrets an try an resurrect my old strain as i still use the last hob from the strain ive had for years an potentially think about bringing another beddy greyhound type on.....I got the look ? met with a no !!! ??I said we’re see! Already got another ferret on order ???if the land has plenty of work I shall think of maybe another pup be nice to have 2 on the go if the works there
