    I know mate bull blooded are one that always looks fit when there not but it’d be nice to see some running fit dog pics all the same fella especially from people on here that give it the big un all the time that peoples dogs ain’t worked enough surly they can set the standard of what a fit dog should look like

    Tbh mate there’s been people on that train along while now none successful in breeding anything of any use that can be worked regularly that’s not limited because of size there’s far better dogs out there in this day an age for big gear if that’s ya thing a saluki greyhound x bull greyhound would take some beating I still believe this cross is pretty much the automate lamping dog of choice for it it moves then so on

    I don’t think modern day greyhounds are constructed well for work an lack brain power there all out speed machines that break easy. I know a few people that had the romantic idea of working a straight greyhound none ended well

    Got a collie greyhound whippet greyhound x bedlington greyhound x to a similar bred dog she’s 23&3quarters proving to be very handy catch bitch she’ll mooch,ferret,lamp this is her first season I really rate the cross as a general use dog that fits in to family life as well as a working life that can just be used that’s a master of none trier of all without going in to specialist dogs for jobs an owning a number of dogs for different jobs it makes life simpler

    I think the collie greyhound beddy greyhound hybrids make good catch dogs if your not after specialist dogs for jobs I recon the cross is adaptable an could be used for a bit of everything

    Here’s a thought I’ve had for a while how much permission would actually be needed to keep a half decent dog going throughout a season an so on my thoughts are if the dog is catching regular on one farm that has a nock on effect for the following season a good number of land is needed to keep a proficient dog in work the further down the country you come from up north so freelancing is a must if you wanna work a dog an have it catching regular I don’t believe for one minute that one bit of permission is enough land to not have to poach freelance is mandatory as you come down the country

    I know what you mean fella but like I said your be lucky most people don’t want people knowing there locations ie areas it’s a open forum fella if there willing to tell ya it’ll be via pm or chat people don’t know you from the next man you only been on here just over a week you could be any one digging for info or other intel an that’s not being rude or disrespectful to you in any way fella

    Been on here since 2010 it was pretty decent then it went down hill an I became the wondering Jew ?then came on an off now and again then over the last 3yrs I’ve been on reasonably regularly I do go awol now an again for a bit this forum is the only media network I’m now on

    Your be lucky if anyone gives you there location fella tbh some of us have learned the hard way same with this taking lads out for a lamp on your spots I’ll never do it again take lads out for a shine on any of my spots.....

    Definitely mate me an me mate we switch it up we visit a variety of spots we use but never in no order or routine we try an keep it fun there’s no numbers of nothing round here but we try keeping our dogs ticking over

    Good luck mate hope you get lucky ??took me years to get legitimate bit of permission it’s been a hard hold slog. me an a mate off here share a bit of land that’s pretty big it’d take two nights to walk it an I’ve got a smallish farm I look after my self it’s hard getting a foot in the door I’m now trusted fully on my little farm at first it was just ferreting once he see I was sound an id help him out with anything I’ve got free rain to ferret,lamp do what I want I’m now in the mate zone rather than just some guy that wants to ferret or lamp his land this season I’ve gained 3 more fields ther
