so, you get a new piece of stalking ground, and you get to meet the neighboring farmer in what sounds like a nice pleasant situation. why go out of your way to make yourself look a tw*t? I'd be asking if it was ok to pop over the fence should a deer run on after the shot, and end up on his ground. and try and make myself look like you know what your on about? I'd also probably have cheeky ask to see if anybody is stalking his ground if not, could I? (is anybody stalking your ground blackdog? can I?)

So at 14 i can have a licence with a gun on it but i cannot shoot it unless supervised by someone over 21? And does the person over 21 have to have a licence? im not completely sure about this so check it with you FEO but I THINK the person supervising just needs to be responsible adult over the age of 21, and does not need to have a licence of their own.

I'd get try get his name mate, and keep an eye on c*nt! That's a disgraceful way to shoot anything intentionally, and to boast about to a complete stranger? what a knob! I'd be having a word with your neighbor and make the bloke goes nowhere near your land. he doesn't sound safe to have around.

I no this might not be what a lot of people do but.... Don't go straight in with the shooting thing, offer to help out on the farm, you'll enjoy it and gain trust at the same time. You will get to no all boundrys and all the areas that need "attention" and even if sombody else is shooting it (you usually find that farmers don't think enough is being done and some people are only interested in certain pests) that you as a "volunteer member of staff" have earned the right to have a wander about and then word of mouth travels fast in the farming community's and if so and so says your a good lad

I've never spent a fortune on them, because as said they do get lost or broken but I've found you can get some decent pairs in the £20-£30 bracket. Just get to your local tackle shop and try a few on. I can never get glasses that sit well on my head, my eyes ears and nose just to seem to work in unison lol

There really isn't much choice in 20 mate (from what I remember of mine) which is why I sold mine. All I could get were Eley 24g 7-1/2 hushpower subsonic and I thought they were shite! Sold the 20 and bought a .410 and I'm knocking a hell of a lot more over with it even with the smaller shells -
keep em both jim, then you don't have to make a decision
