  1. Ah, the old cast over the back of the hand before you tie your knot... I caught me out plenty, just when you thought you had it down Nothing worse than doing 2,3 more rows before your knot lets go, well had me pulling my hair out... Ah well, fair play bud, you found the problem and fixed it..
  2. Get loads round by me, down the local MOD woodland. I think my patt caught a bite once. She`s a fairly big robust bitch and usually require some antihistamines after a mooch, so I didnt really notice it until a day later, when she was laid down. I ran my hand over her looking for stray thorns when I found a big red looking lump with two puncture holes. Got Her mate round, the vet nurse and she said it was possibly a snake bite.. Didnt seem to worry the dog so I was quite lucky I guess.
  3. I only just clocked that now you mention it. The body looks like its hanging very natural. I might give it a go on the double stranded stoppie Ive just finished. Would I be right in thinking that it would only been of any use on the top line, as that where it hangs from and the bottom is touching the floor?
  4. Thats a fair price. If it was mint, maybe a little more. Dont think I`d sell mine for that though. But if everyone`s happy, done deal.
  5. Is it national rate yourself day or something? This thread is near on exactly a year old
  6. Get a picture up. Sounds like one of your knots are slipping. Are you sure your twine will take the required knot without slipping?
  7. Why is do you say that? Cos they would be no use for lions I`m guessing. Not to mention ferrets cant tolerate high temperatures.
  8. Funny as. Serves the snidey fuckers right.
  9. Could it not be scarring after getting over myxi?
  10. Cheers RM. Still wouldnt mind seeing how you do it Longers
  11. Another year without a place... My Daughter had a e/w on double 7. Always the same, the Mrs or nipper usually get a place. At least all my horses came home safe.
  12. I`d like a tutorial bud, materials list and whatever
  13. Nice. Bit shit she couldnt sell it as it wasnt caught on a commercial vessel. I think I`d gift it to a wealthy jap and hope he "gifted" me a million..
  14. I have this problem, even my older jills do it from time to time. Im still thinking an idea through, Some 3 inch waste pipe with a 180` bend on the end, so its gravity fed. Idea being with a smaller bowl, and added weight from stored food higher than the edge of the bowl will make harder to dig in, aswell as keeping the moisture out a little. See a bigger homemade one for chicken food. Google homemade pvc pipe chicken feeders, some awsome ones, just downsize..
  15. ??? Ive had jills jabbed way into their season and still got the desired results? He could have got the jill jabbed in the morning and it still wouldnt make a difference for a couple of weeks any way... You can try ferreting, thing is, when hob`s and jill`s come into season, they come off the boil regarding finding and killing rabbits. They would rather be above ground searching for a mate.
  16. Nice bud. How do you make the micarta, Ive been keeping an eye out on here, but not seen nothing...
  17. I wouldnt have considered it a rude reply to be honest, blunt yes, but not rude. This site is not generally known for its grade A English graduates and sometimes you have to read between the lines and not get offended by what`s written. After all, forums are based on peoples opinions albeit badly strung together ones Enjoy your upcoming days of sport. Bob.
  18. Well said Nathan, far too many of these type of people lying in wait ,ready to pounce out there ,their posts help no one, they sorta remind of a hawk waiting on a fence post ,watchin & waiting . Thing is Toolbox. Joe raised a valid point. I cant think of another domesticated animal so flippantly bred in this country. It`s almost natural progression for some folk get a ferret, get two, breed them,(cos they think its the only option) then they`re in the classifieds 2 month later advertised as "whole ferret set up, 2 ferrets, 10 nets and a 3ft woodchip hutch, excellent workers" Yeah right...
  19. That sounds like a no brainer... Why have a litter of kits, just because a hob has come into season and is hormonal? Get the f****r castrated if hes that bad, it`ll save a lot of arse ache and unwanted animals.
