  1. Where do people in Hampshire get their hob`s vas`d? Apparently its getting a rare op? Sounds like these fresh face`s only know what purina teach them..

  2. I know a pestie on here, who owns a seasoned jill that does it and wouldnt part with her for the world. It can be a right pain in the arse - but, she will clear or kill a warren. What do you do? Horses for courses.. Just make sure you have enough collars and ferrets and leave her be, move on. Chances are when you come back, it`ll have that last one bottled up shallow..
  3. Im gonna follow you to your B n B and tell her you said that, she wont be busy stuffing her face then, she`ll be too busy spitting in your breakie
  4. Here`s the one Im using at the minute. £25, straight off the shelf from bells of hythe. Aint had it long, but Ive knocked a couple of bits over. Note the leather hand stitched ammo pouch made out of our old sofa
  5. Ive had these 4 years. never cleaned or treated them. Ill be getting some more when Im flush.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HANWAG-TRAPPER-GTX-BOOTS-SHOOTING-HUNTING-HIKING-STALKING-/160838724698
  6. Looks like a 25lt mate. Well thats what I`ll be using once I find a clean one.
  7. Happy days bud. Ken said you enjoyed yourself. Whats in the breeding of that black dog ?
  8. Just got to take the rough with the smooth bud. Got to get it where and when you can. Especially this season, if its not the weather its myxi or vhd.
  9. Dunno what happens to the rabbits, someone's eating well though....
  10. Not sure how manys here as a couple of the lads took one or two for the ferrets and dogs..
  11. Out with Landmark rabbit control the past few days on a place which can only be described as chalk swiss cheese, the warrens are massive, deep chalk jobs. And apart from Friday? The weather has been horizontal, really bad for the best part of it. But, we were there to get a job done, or at least take a small bite out of the corner.. Wednesday saw us remove 40 rabbits, Thursday was hard, lots of digs to nests in the hedgerows and small banks, but deep digs. Removing 38 rabbits. Friday was favourable, weatherwise and bag tally with 47 being removed. And today on a small part of the big banks we
  12. You read it wrong Pip, gold is the only one he cant get. And I`m not surprised at £170 for a 50 yard roll..
  13. Gold, silver, black, blue, then green are the next strongest ones.
  14. I know what you mean Tc. I pulled the tag end out though and melted a good bit of the end and squashed into itself, so its sorta glued. Time will tell though.
  15. Have a look on ebay at the bonded nylon. Im not sure what size would equate to 6z though. Ive had a quick look but its doing me in..
  16. Thats one of the reasons I learnt to make nets, so it doesnt die out. I`d like to be able to teach a grandson one day. You cant beat a well made net, Bill inspired me to start making nets after I got a bit of kit off him. Nice gear.
  17. You want about 2" of mountain bike tube. Pop it on your pole, then your loop... Then pull the tube out, give it half a twist and pop it back over you pole, trapping you loop in between.
  18. How many you after mate . .? You tried Nelson ? JUST A HANDFULL MATE...ITS ONLY FOR A FEW STOP NETS....I DID NOT WANT TO BOTHER HIM AS I KNOW HES A BUSY GUY... Ive just used innertube for mine. Cut into 2.5" sections. Works well. Just tie 4 same sized loops in your lines, one each end. Pop the innertube on the pole, then your loop, twist the innertube, and back over the pole, trapping the loop in the middle. Perfect, and slides when needed too. I THOUGHT ABOUT THAT BOB....MAYBE BE BETTER OFF DOING THAT SEEN AS IM USING GOLF FLAG POLES....RATHER THAN BUYING LOADS OF DIFFERENT SI
  19. Mine was 4 strands too, didnt really need it, as it did work that well. Been near to tears with some needles and cord. The best bit about it is you can make a big loop, put your cord through, tighten the wire, the fray the 10mm, goes through with ease... If anything, being 4 strands made it worse as the fibres got a little caught in the "eye" and caused a bit of unnecessary snagging, when trying to insert it.
  20. Same principal, different purpose. these were for a game carrier. A longnet line, you`d splice both ends into each other, this is just the one splice... Bad light (auto) These are 50mm x 5mm snap hooks and 3mm cord.
  21. Ok, Thanks....I had a go at the splicing, but trying to get that needle through the 3mm braid is a Feckin nightmare. SINDASOX Give that snare wire bodkin a go in joonsy`s first post photo. I done 4, 3mm splice`s in a couple of minute. Works like a dream. Nice one Joonsy!!!
  22. Total wanky day. Cleaned the yard, fancied pressure washing it,bit of jeyes, it rained.. Retreated to the shed to make a ferret box and the strip light went.. Dog knocked a fag out the ashtray, whilst I went for a shit, burnt the new rug. I could go on..

      bullx100%

Could of been a worse day mate if the rug set fire......

  23. Cat box. And if your lucky the use of an empty, escape proof stable. If they`ve been grafting though, their usually happy with a bit of grub and a bit of kip.
