even if your in the middle of nowhere the moon or the stars will normally give enough light but the kind of nights ime talking about and tomo is very differant just total blackness try closing your eyes real tight thats what it was like both nights never had it since .

1997 roughly the time i started lamping used to have a small car battery still weighed a ton or felt like it and home made lamps lr6 or lr9s there wasnt a car within miles with any of those spots on and if there was they wasnt on them long lol .i remember the first time i used a motorbike battery seemed to be like a feather after the car battery but even those were heavy compared to today.how times change.

i can see you know what ime on about tommo because i was the same battery dont last half as long on nights like that as i said only ever happened twice to me but very strange when it is like it.

all jokes aside i dont think any of the parties are any better than the others if ime honest. but the conservatives will get my vote if only because i think we have a slightly better chance of getting the ban overturnred with them in power than with any of the others. and even then its only a small chance.

was talking to a guy that had coursed with him at a show once years ago and he said that there wasnt much that ted hadnt run with his dogs agree with poacher i think when he wrote that book he was erring on the side of cautious because his dogs knew what they were bred for.

i was wondering if anyone has been out many times in total darkness i dont just mean a very dark and black night but the night when if you hold your hand or fingers a inch from your face you cannot see it in all the years ive had dogs and ive had them all my life i can only ever remember being out on a night like this twice ever and it is quite frightening if you are on strange land especially if your not supposed to be there as well .when i say frightening i mean not being able to see where or what your walking into and it is a strange experience to be out on a night like this.

tbh other colours can be seen just as easily ive found a black dodg unless its pitch black out sticks out the same as any other colour in the night. and at night anyone will see the light long before the colour of your dog. agree on the cuts /blood issue though a tiny cut on a white dog looks as if its bleeding to death.

i start my pups as soon as i wean them not actually jumping but little boards across which they have to scrabble over and gradually raise them so as they get older they have to hop over them .then when they start going out look for low obstacles on the walk even if it means going out of your way a bit never had any problems with any of my pups jumping using this method and it just seems natural to them as they get older and jum higher things. -
i z the big guy thats passed away singing somewhere over the rainbow could listen to it over and over haunting tune.

most heat lamps nowadays come with a cover with them always used a heat lamp on pups

i run lurchers and hate to see hares being shot just doesnt seem right to me but before anyone starts on at me its just the way i feel would never say anyone else shouldnt do it because each to their own sport just has a lot of shooters would be disgusted at one of my lurchers taking a pheasant off the floor. as i say each to their own glad you had a good day.

well said i always say the dog only has to please its owner not anyone else and thats the beauty of lurchers they vary so much and theres one out there to suit most people and their choice of running .i think its great to talk and discuss differant subjects but hate it when it gets all arse and personell really no need. -

hunting all the way i would love to know where i could catch 16 rabbits fox and a big one in a hour ime 56 been hunting all my life and had some real top dogs and also some rubbish taken a lot bigger bags than the example but what i was trying to show was that massive prey drive dont have to mean just a few runs. and gotta tell you never had or seen that kind of numbers in a hour or seen anyone else have either and i was very impressed with my bitch that night . as the game isnt about over the last years like it used to be years ago .you must have some super human dogs if you wouldnt have
