  3. It seems like its ok now. What worried me yesterday was that the whole eye was blood red. . . you couldnt see anything. And you can see an impact mark on the centre of the eye ball. But he's lying on the rug chewing a bone. . . .

  11. Do I squeeze the tea bag into the eye? Or just put it over. Is it just for the swelling or for the eye damage itself? Cheers for the help all.
  12. The dog took an impact to the eye last night. Came home and the whole eye was blood red. . .. thought he'd blinded himself. Looks a lot better today. . . . although swollen and a bit weepy, and still a little glazed, you can see the pupil, iris etc. You can see a mark in the center where whatever it was hit the eye. . . . I've bathed it in salt water and given him some marbofloxacin . . . . Any suggestions / advice / experiance etc???
  13. Pretty much every single professional rabbit catcher in the land. . . . . if using a dog. . . . will use some form of collie lurcher.

      bad news pal...I've heard of spaniels having a heart attack a couple of times, is it common in that breed?

      Don't know mate, know of it happening twice now though. This one was 8. . . don't really know the breeding etc. Could be genetic maybe.

  15. Aye. . . . too right! I don't know what the record is mate . . .the shoot has been going 30 years. . . . But it's certainly the highest i've had and the highest number i've seen shot there since I started beating there etc. . . . We couldn't do it without decent lads like yourself Bry, with decent dogs. . . . thanks once again!

  19. It's like everything in life .......there is a wrong and a right way to go about it! And due to the high number of idiots on here, there are a lot of folk who go about things the wrong way! In all honestly it would do our sport a hell of a lot of good if half the folk on here (or more) gave up the running dogs and kept goldfish ....
  20. Running about jumping on bunnys only to have them slip out of nets and run over your hands is hectic. . . . It's much nicer to just carry the ferrets and let the dog do all of the hard work. . . . . .
