  1. Anyone who has been out with me around where I live will know how hard it is to achieve any kind of decent numbers. . . But the weather was spot on tonight and a last minute couple of hours out around the local fields proved a lot more fruitful than usual, with the dog being on the ball and catching most of what he ran. Probably the best score i've ever had off this particular land.
  2. Cheers all! I'm really glad to have him back out by my side. . . although i'm trying to enjoy it while it lasts. . . . i'm sure it won't be long. He's needed medical attention already after smashing through a hedge after a rabbit (which he caught) and spiking his eye! The dogs got a massive heart and never gives anything less than his all. . . . which has it's upsides and it's downsides!
  3. Yer, hares on those mountains are mythical creatures!
  4. Well, the whippet has been back up and running a couple of weeks now, after pretty much two months on the lead with a foot injury. Obviously he was very unfit at the start, but i've been out with him pretty much every day or night since then, doing some kind of running and catching, and his fitness is starting to build back up. We've had no massive bags but taken a variety of quarry and had some memorable hunts and catches, both out alone and with friends. One particularly pleasant walk out was with wales1234 and another friend, where we gave the dogs some good runs on some challenging land, l

So far i've decided on a sofa / arm chair, kettle, stereo, pictures and antlers etc on the wall, a place to store nets/ferreting stuff, and to dry clothes, and a bit to hang game. I've also got my freezers in there and a fridge. . . . What else do I need???
