  1. Found out a while a go that the assistant head in my school was in the navy in the falklands. Talking to him, it sounded mental.
  2. Divide and conquer matey, side by side with fear mongering.
  3. PJ is right. It's always existed, it's just now we gave them a brand, and a name, and held them up as the 'great enemy'.
  4. They are all (mostly) thieving b*****ds mate. But most know the difference between game in the field and game at home. Mine, for the most part will retrieve (or parade ) rabbits when caught out, but in the house, will go to any length to steal one and eat in on the lawn / in the house.
  5. The Vet thinks the dog has tendonitis between his toes, causing a swollen lump. It's not causing him any major pain at the moment, but has been there for a couple of months, and i've been running him on it (as the previous vet said it was probably just a swelling caused by something stuck in there. Basic question is - anyone had a dog with tendonitis on/in/of the foot, and managed to sort it out with just rest and anti inflams, so that it didnt cause the dog any trouble when working / running?
  6. I like the one i saw made, iu think by Tyla. Small back pack, with a small box at the bottom, woth holes drilled through bag etc.

  9. Interestingly, they also have a very good diet, few health issues, almost zero occurance of mental health problems, no crime, lots of leasure time, great family and community unity etc etc. Made me think though . . . . . f**k carrying that b*****d back for 8 hours

  11. Decided to have a knock about the shoot today with a lad off here, to have a look to see if there were any rats around the pens, and to check a few things for winter, and generally have a drive about in the sun, pretending we were doing some kind of work. Met him about 7am, gave the dogs a quick empty out and run about and jumped in his landy, with finn and his two pats in the back. We had a good day driving about, chatting shit, and looking at holes in the ground of varying sizes, and not really finding any rats, at least none that had any hair on them yet, and everything that we killed e
  12. Studied these guys when i was in Uni, always found them fascinating, especially the persistence hunting, which is how they think the first people ever hunted.
  13. I think i've been lucky and consider quite a lot of folk to have done me a good turn. Including some very random ones. Firstly, there has been a lot of folk from here that have invited me on their land, and given me some good hunting, just for the sake of meeting up and going for a walk out together, i've met some really top blokes to be honest. A member on here sent me a stop net he made free of charge. I have never met him. Johnnyboy has helped me out lots of times. And there have been some random ones from total strangers over the years, mostly in other countries. Including
