  1. Another 1st for the3/4 reverse LOL
  2. Had another good hunt out with Royston2 still plenty of stuff about but getting trickier to find and catch.
  3. Best of luck with the pup . Nice to see a breeder taking intrest in the pups and not just wanting them out of sight.
  4. Are you sure that the weight is right I would be expecting her to weigh a bit more than 20 pounds.Apart from that if the breeding is right she should be ok.
  5. Yes youve guessed it,it was my old gay boy friend Royston2,he wont miss a chance of some hunting LOL.
  6. Very nice, glad you got your rabbit lol
  7. Have been busy with the Bullxs lately, but have not always been able to take pics,my 3/4 reverse had been on quite a few foxes doubled up but here he is with his 1st single handed. What pleased me most was the fact that he struck and grabbed the fox as it was half way through a hedge he grabbed it in the lower back, he took few bites for his troubles but it was all over in a matter of seconds.
  8. Some realy eye catching pics of wheaten lurchers in this thread,I suppose it all depends what you realy expect or need from a lurcher.I wouldnt dissagree that they are as game as any Bullx but judging by the pics they have no where near the size/strengh/power of a Bullx attributes that come in handy for dealing with more determined quarry spedied especialy in numbers.
  9. Doing a few deer with a dog can cause problems when it comes to working around stock.Very little stock where I live now and I do have to watch my dogs around livestock.I used to live in an area where stock was more common and my dogs were rock steady.Just have to do the thinking for the dog Ime afraid if I moved back to a sheep farming or even cattle area (which I wont)I would have a stressfull couple of weeks breaking my dogs. All dogs are 100% with stock until they kill some :11:

Know blokes that when expecting to work dogs hard carry a bootle of powerade with them,if a dog shows signs of fatigue they shoot a squirt of it down their necks.
  12. Got some nice rough areas, industrial sites old playing fields etc that are crawling with foxes, foxes and nothing else, except the occasional rat or cat,any way in these places the earths are small fairly easily dug affairs so the terriers are let off and allowed even encouraged to hunt up and have a good run around.Keeps them fit and happy,if I was digging 3 or 4 times a week they would be kept on leads but Ime not so I have to grab my sport where and when available, have had some very good days and also some awkward moments best forgotten. :11:
  13. If Bullxs work for you lucky why change,Ive never had a wheatenx and I doubt I will the Bullx does all I want so why take a risk on a breed that by the sounds of it is in decline.Ive heard most working wheatens have a dash of bull in them anyway. If you fancy something different then fair enough but if it isnt broken why fix it .
  14. Used to see BullxAidale lurchers advertised quite a bit in the EDRD what I heard everyone seems qite happy with them.
  15. LOL,Spartacus you just keep at it [bANNED TEXT] give that pup as much experiance as it can manage, its a pup and you shouldnt push it to hard but experiances like the myxy rabbit wont do a pup with a bit of spirit any harm, lurcher pups that are kept on leads and not allowed to explore new sites and sounds IMHO are the ones more likely to fail, take care but let the dog develop into what it is ,hopefully a killer.Basic training is essential but to much is IMHO as lethal as pushing the youngster to hard everything in moderation.
  16. Good pics, time to start concentrating on the foxes a bit more for me aswell now. Before you catfch them all
  17. personality in them and a bit of craftyness i think it gives them charecter my mate on this site that i go to college with has just got him self a 1/4 bull x 3/4 grey but i dont realy like them that much what are your opinions . <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Lifeisloud, just out of intrest what is it you dislike about Bullxs,Ive had both Bullxs and colliexs in the past I find advantages and dissadvantages in both types as for character I find most working lurchers ,working dogs for that matter, have it in abundance.
  18. I would say thats a very good quality pic.Still waiting for the foxes to start getting to ground regularly down this way.Good luck with the coming season and the new entry.
  19. Bit sad to see faithfull workers getting old.Good to get them out and about occasionaly just to relive past adventures.
  20. Good exciting stuff when you have a few rabbits about to run, anything over 20 rabbits would be exceptional for the area I live in.
  21. We had a good mixed bag last night would of taken more pics but the Bullxs werent looking their best after running a couple of tricky customers.
