  1. Thats one hell of a fish a fish of a lifetime, wish I could catch one like it.After meeting Jordan recently if he says his brother caught it then his brother caught it.If you want proof chilli you best start flicking through back issues of Angling Times.I know perch suffered greatly through some form of disese but looks like they are making a come back. The only problem Ive found with catching them is your always having to reach for the disgorger as the greedy little gits swallow the lot.
  2. The bitch is a strong one from good working lines, she was retired a little while ago but I was lucky enough to have seen her dug to.Taking a bit of a chance with the black dog .
  3. As I cant find a decent bred lakeland pup, I thought I would try my hand at breeding a mongrelized one.
  4. Had a lakeland xRussel(I know its not a pat, that was fairly decent)known people to have BorderxRussels mainly as bushing dogs, but the ones bred from the right parents did well to ground. If the russel is good and the Border is good cant see a problem you might even benefit from some hybrid vigour.
  5. Bad luck but what can you do.No good wrapping them in cotton wool.
  6. I cant speak for R2s terrier but my pup comes from a long line of show winners so hopefully I will ba able to get some red rossettes, something I have always wanted to achieve.

    Summer holidays

Some people have all the luck, who needs a fortnight in spain with all that lot. Cracking photos you even had the rarity of a good British summer .
  8. IMHO Save the poor fecker the trauma of the never ending merry go round and do the decent thing.
  9. Heres a new addition of my own. That bitch of yours certainly looks the part [bANNED TEXT],hope she does you proud.
  10. Seen quite a few Border/Patt xs in the classifides lately, hope it turns out well for you be intresting to see how he progresses.
  11. All the best dogs I have seen or been lucky enough to own have entered early and naturaly. I have no experiance of the saluki/collie/grey type I can imagine they would be good on hare and rabbit but what are/were they like on fox and deer?
  12. What a terrible price to pay for a moments carelessness.
  13. Well lads it was me that went to North Wales to buy the bitch for another bloke from Kent ,when he lost intrest Git bought it.If I remember right the bith was called cleo.
  14. Gits bitch was a Bull/whippet/grey back to whippet/grey.
  15. I wouldnt keep a dog that wouldnt kill a fox single handed but then again I dont like to see a fox get away so if I have a pair of lurchers they both get slipped.A 14 pound fox IMHO isnt that much of a challenge to a decent lurcher. But I just dont like them to get away.
  16. Keep his nut on otherwise if you ever have to sell him,you wont.If he keeps buggering off then I am afraid you will have to keep him on a lead.I wouldnt even make plans for breeding until he has atleast 2 seasons and a good number of decent digs under his belt. If he is well bred and you do throw the towel in give me a shout I might buy him off you :11: If your that worried get one of those retractable lead things. Can we have a pic of him it makes the posts a lot more interesting
  17. Some most certainly will, though they will make a job of it.But is it fair on dog or fox?
  18. I like a well bred Bedlington lurcher for a fox dog with coat.
  19. Wishing a safe and speedy return home to all.
  20. If the dog is usualy busy hunting etc and this was just a one off I would just forget about it,if its happening regularly I would be a bit more concerned.
