  1. He is 13 inches and about 26 pounds
  2. There are quite a few lads that swear by a bit of Bull blood in their terriers and these lads get results. If the right stud is used wastage (over sized pups) is kept to a minimum. The reason I supose you would use a bit of Bull blood would be to perhaps improve the bone size and head size aswell as putting a bit more fire in your terriers.I havnt ever knowingly owned a terrier that has recently had bull blood added but a lot of terriers I have owned show at a guess that a bit of Bull was added in the past.I wouldnt think there are many working terriers of any type that dont have a dash of bull
  3. Cheers for the invite again [bANNED TEXT],things dont always go to plan,if it was easy it wouldnt be so rewarding. It was a good run by the dog and it also gave ratkillas young lurcher a chance to rag a freshly killed fox.You already guessed why your bitch wasnt running right if she comes into season in the next few days you will be prooved right.
  4. Ive got locator collars etc, very rarely use them never lost a ferret yet.Though ive read of people loosing ferrets with collars on.Know your land ,know your quarry, and know your ferrets.Technology is a poor substitute for animal husbandry and fieldcraft. Only my opinion of course.

  10. Well done [bANNED TEXT] a bit of grit and determination when your down next I will let you have a dig with a real spade that wont snap :11: Whats the point in taking a bird with you and digging yourself.
  11. what breed is that black dog he looks awesome <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I would say originaly from old Nuttal/Gould lines, but hes just from a line/strain of dogs that has been kept by genuine digging lads.Worker to worker. His brindle brother was kept by a [bANNED TEXT] of mine and was killed in a kennel fight.
  12. Ratkilla was very happy with the keeness his dog had shown and also how eagre he was to have a good rag.
  13. The black dog had done well in some quite tight tubes.
  14. After breaking through and letting Ratkillas dog and the young Border have a look the fox was dipatched.
  15. We entered the black dog and let him get on with it,Ratkillas terrier seemed very keen and was straining on the lead trying to enter.
  16. Had a phone call from a keeper asking if I could walk through some woods and see if I could find a fox that was being a problem. He was quite happy for me to take a [bANNED TEXT] so Ratkilla came along with his new terrier just to get it used to the countryside etc.Ive not had much luck before on this permission so I wasnt realy that hopefull more a good walk for the dogs then the Bullx started jumping about and marking like a good un.
  17. Doesnt realy matter what anybody says or thinks, if most lads wanted to give a certain lurcher type a go,they would.

  19. Got given this by a [bANNED TEXT] whos a shooting chap
  20. The terriers. The black dog did all the work but the Border at just 7 months showed me enough to have some high hopes for the future.
  21. The dog fox was a decent size but he bolted and was dispatched.
  22. The dog fox was laying up under a concrete slab about 100 yds away from where the vixen was pushed in,sorry the flash didnt work on that pic.
  23. A decent sized vixen with a stumpy tail that was dug and dispatched after being put to ground and marked by the Bullx.
