  1. Cracking pics again, strange how some rabbits seem to run over a lot of holes that offer immediate safety from the dog.It cant just be because its been ferreted as other rabbits just pop from one hole to the next.
  2. My terriers are jackers and useless [bANNED TEXT] but I still love them
  3. Good action packed pics. I notice youve got them tied to the spades for a still pic, sure there isnt a small dash of bull blood in them .
  4. I love listening to the sound of terriers making contact and working their quarry its what makes us feel alive.Perhaps some on here dare not waste a second listening and have to dig straight away incase their dogs come away. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> some of us have dogs that dont make a sound they get in latch on and do the job .......... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> How exciting.

  6. Norfolk lurcher just another name for a colliex.
  7. Foxdropper.Ill take you at your word and say well done to you and the bitch,
  8. Good advice from CharlieC there. IMHO the ealy days of a lurchers working life arent about sport, they are about getting results (kills in other words) get as close to the rabbits as possable and give the rabbit as little chance as possable, has your dog ever been ferreting and allowed to catch a bolter or hold one in the net, that generaly gives them an idea of what lifes all about.Good luck [bANNED TEXT] the more you lamp an area the harder the rabbits become to catch and try finding some bigger fields that might aid your dog.
  9. Are there terriers born without scenting ability,or are terriers born not wanting to use that scenting ability? Sure enough there are some right awkward earths out there real mazes of tubes and scent. But surely in your average earth any terrier should be able to find, all dogs have noses not all dogs have the desire to use them.
  10. Put a thread up a little while back about a bitch that was a little dissapointing on her 1st dig,in time shes been tried againg and has turned out a couple of good performances. You cant give a terrier forever but sometimes the benefit of the doubt pays off.Good luck with your bitch and sounds like a very nice weekend you had.
  11. I read some where Fallow are the fastest wild mammal in Britain.I would rather a dog of mine caught a roe anyday so much easier to deal with allround. There are a lot of people killing roe in the south smaller fields and more woodland equals more roe.
  12. Your only jealous cause your not old enough to drive. Nice pics lucky things have started to pick up with the foxes now good sized adults coming to the call a much better test than cubs.I personaly prefer to be on foot you can concentraste on the dogs doing what comes natural without having to keep one eye on where your front tyres are.
  13. I supplied the stud dog.
  14. Just apic of 2 pups bred from hard lines.
  15. IMHO a full tail is prefferable to a tail docked stupidly short, but a tail docked to the correct lengh is definatly best.If the tail is naturaly short a 3rd might be to much if the tail is naturaly long perhaps it wouldnt be enough. If your not confident to do it yourself get an experianced trusted [bANNED TEXT] to do it.
  16. Theres something you dont see everyday, a Plummer on a fox :11: :11: <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Plummers there always handy around a snare......or should I say a snare is always handy around a plummer :11:
  17. Nice one [bANNED TEXT] must have put a smile on your face, what was the temperature like that time in the morning.
  18. Here in the south of England one always carrys a cork-screw in the hamper, just the thing to open a bottle for a nice refreshing spritzer during the course of a dig. Halycon days.
