    If your going to do it right just use a .243 with 55grn bullets instead of old mens rifles. I usually do mate 80gn Sierra blitz @ 3400fps is my just about everything combination, I have not noticed a lot get up from that, but for long range bunnies and up to 200yard foxes a .22 hornet old mans rifle takes some beating.

    I too have one, they are good, but a little tricky until you get used to them, the problem comes close in when the receiver gets swamped by the signal even with the attenuator switched on, so dialling away from the frequency is all you can do really, I have heard of people shielding the receiver with their body and turning till they get a signal. cant say it works for me, but I may be doing it wrong

    I agree with Bird, there are some complete tossers who think they can speak to people however they want, and it is not on, on the other side of the coin, there are some walkers, that deliberately go out of their way to cause friction, but remember YOU are the one with a gun in your hand, so be very careful, it only takes one phone call accusing you of threats, and you are in the s*it, make sure, if any walker starts shouting the odds etc, that you take out your phone, and tell them you are recording everything, generally I find a pleasant, polite approach, does the trick, but be careful, there

    As Seeker says, nothing wrong with an A bolt mate, (just dont fire moly bullets through it eh Seeker me old mucker?) not quite the same quality as the Tikka, but not bad, and as you say saving £350 is not a bad plan, the triggers are not bad at all and I would have thought 40 quid at a riflesmith could tune it to a very sweet shooter, dont think you will be dissapointed with an A bolt mate.
