    Yeah its bad timing but I have another dog, so long as I can keep it injury free... And it does work out quite well as the pups would be a good year old for the following season, so in that respect it works out quite well...

    Yep, sounds like a expansion/pressure vessel. Does exactly what I've just said but your one will deliver quite a large amount of water, which is handy if you have a power cut. It may also have a pressure switch on it, so that when your store has reached say 4 bar it will shut off then when it depletes to maybe 2 bar it will kick the pump in and replenish the tank, this stops excessive cycling of the pump (therefore less wear) and keeps a relatively constant supply to the house etc.. Run a tap and see what the pressure gauge on top does, is the gauge on a small box with a wire or 2 coming out o

    Daft question, but what shape is the 'holding tank" as it could just be an expansion vessel. This, if you don't know already is essentially a metal bubble with a bladder within it that allows in the case of most boreholes for the fluctuations in pressure caused by the pump/demand allowing a more constant flow to the taps and is essentially a store of pressurised water... Some are large some are small depending on the system... Unless it is a open tank then in which case show us a picture of it as I am curious as hell!!!

    Robert Meek travels all over, you just have to ring him and arrange when he is closest to you... I'd definitely recommend him! But if it were me and I was really concerned, I'd be at the vets by now...

    Glad you got him back... There's some buggers around, a friend of mine had her dog taken from her side while she was sat down at a country show having a cuppa, she said she looked across and saw a terrier that looked like hers, she kept looking and realised it was hers! She obviously made a massive fuss and started shouting as she ran over, they gave the dog back and disappeared.They'd sat down behind her at a table had a quick drink apparently and made of with it, 30 seconds later that dog would have gone.

    Always someone here to take the piss... Looks plenty big enough for a dog to sleep and you've put it in the run anyway... There's loads of people that keep there mutts in an 8 x 4 run with a box/house at one end, but that is absolutely fine....?
